Hello Steve, I sent a reply to your email about a week or two ago. That email includes two photos of the underside of a laminated dining room table made of 2 inch thick ipe. The table top is made up of random width 2x boards (8/4?); from 2x6 to 2x12. The main trestle is made of 3x and 4x material. The unique thing is the way they constructed the table top. The boards are bolted together from underneath via holes and slots cut into the wood. Even the breadboard ends are done this way. If you have any questions or comments about the photos or some of my meandering diatribe in that email, don't hesitate to reply to my email. I check it a little more often than I log onto SMC. rick
