Does anyone have a design for bed rails for a childs bed? I'm looking for something that has pieces that lay under the mattress to hold the rail in place.

I find that with my 2 car "shop" I still have to move the big pieces (TS, Jointer, Planer) around all the time, and that is with my wife not being allowed to put the car in there. Isn't it funny that...
Thanks for the response Mark. I went there and did not find anything close. Just as well the client decided the cost for a custom piece was too high.

Does anyone have a source for good quality loft bed plans?
I have a client who wants me to give her a price for a loft bed. She has a picture from a catalogue and wants something similar to it...
Hi Dennis,

Sean, I agree with the others about the glue, no paper. Are you using 3/4" due to cost issues? Most stair treads are made of 5/4" material. Are you replacing existing? If so you will need to do alot...
Thanks for the kind comments everyone, I enjoy turning Corian more than cast resin because it is a little more forgiving.
Ben - I sand with the Corian sanding pads I got from Woodcraft and I do...
Here are some Corian and other pens and pencils I've done. Comments welcome.

Maybe a trade off for you being home more should have been having the garage to yourself. When we moved into this house I went from working in my basement where I had 7' x 14' to having an oversized...
I had both for a while, although the Rigid was an older model (two knives). I like the Dewalt better. It was a whole lot quieter than the Rigid also.
Hi Dennis,
I would insulate with the thickest insulation you can use without compressing it too much (it will lose it r-value if compressed alot). Since this area of basement is unheated make...
I have the 1-3/4 hp unit and I like it alot. If I had it to do again I would go for the 3hp unit. I use the saw for my business and sometimes, as Scott says, I have to slow down the feed rate or it...
Very nice, I can't wait to see the finished project. I have wanted to make new bedroom furniture for myself but funds and time have hampered me.

Count me in, Thanks Chris.
Count me in please, thanks.
Great pen! My vote is for uniform size top to bottom.
I have the Rigid trim router and have been very happy with it. It comes with several bases and a case. The variable speed and slow start features are nice. I think it still sells for around $100.
Wow, that eats up some time!
Glad everyone seems to be enjoying it. Come on now, the only one that counts is the first try. Well (LOL), except maybe for Jim, I could see thinking the direction would not matter.
I found this on another site and thought it was very interesting. I scored a 5.1 when I tried it.

Is anyone using solar for heat in their shop? Do you know of anybody who does? My shop roof faces South and gets almost no shade therefore I was thinking of trying solar hot water to heat it. Any...
Hi Steve,
I use small pieces of Corian as accent pieces in some of my pens. I first cut the piece close to the size I need on the bandsaw. The I hot glue it to the squared off end of a block of...
