No harm in that, John. The DeWalt 6-series are some good routers also. Everybody knows they have the smoothest plunger.

I'm opting-in.
I've dug up some more reviews of this-
Seems some of the CNC folks are buying these now instead of the PC 690s. They seem to be holding up very well and have near nothing on the runout scale.
Yes, Jeremy, I do know the Bosch is much better. I own several Bosch 1617 routers and consider them the best of the best. Their motors are unbelievebly strong and bullet proof. The old US-made PC...
Bleh.
I don't do the ez shows.
Where is this review at, John?
I'd be interested in reading that. Hitachi had a great reputation for their large plunge routers. Been wondering about these smaller ones.
I've got the SD206 and I wish I had paid more money for the 506/508. The 206 does a decent job, but it's barely hobby-grade work.
Spend the extra money and get the set with the better chippers...

Great price on a Fixed/plunge kit.
I bought an OSHA-approved First Aid Kit at Sam's last week for $22.
TONS of stuff in it.
There are no more PM 66's being manufactured or assembled.
Yep, but still, this is a great router. They are bulletproof and take a serious beating.
I remember when these were $150 and they were a darn good deal at that price.
PC 690 LR
Check it out at Amazon.
Plus one.

Is there a master list of who has won Freestuff Giveaways in the past?
I think this says it all for 80% of the Forum users out there. I never really see them anywhere because I grew accustomed to ignoring them in about a 1/2 day. I use no ad-blocker. Just ignore...
Count me in
Not so pricey anymore. Last I heard the tickets for the night race at Bristol could be had for less than $200 each. That's a far cry from the hay-day of +$400 each back before money screwed up...
That is pretty awesome.
Yes.
Doctors. Nurses. Hospital Administrators.
Police officers. Firefighters. Politicians.
Grocery store workers. Sewer line installers. Septic tank installers.
Funeral Home...
When gas gets to be $3 a therm it will.
Yeah. We've come a loooooong way in fuel economy.
Highland Hardware is a cool store.
Just because they didn't respond to an electronic query in lightening fast speed, doesn't mean they are out of business.
Ugghhh..
How do I move this thing?
I am going to have to go pick it up, position it on a 5x8 trailer (wood floor) and then unload it and move it across the shop floor.
What would be the best...
I would let a local, trusted saw shop replace the "missing" teeth, sharpen the whole thing and save it for "rough" lumber.
I wouldn't "trash it".
I like the Ridgid. I think it would be perfect for "light to medium" work.
