hi Alex, I think you're refering to the Asian style box. Those legs are attached with mortice and loose tenon. I used a shop made router jig that works much like the multi-router machine.

thakns, I considered thining the profile but with the brass pin hinges I wanted piece of mind that the pin is set deep enough to be durable.
Yes, I made a couple angle cuts at the tablesaw with the piece on edge to rough out the desired curve. Then lots of sanding. When im content with the profile I make the miter cuts.
I have been wanting to make some keepsake boxes for some time now and finally found the time. I have made 13 all together and will be gifting them to family this Christmas. Here are a few of them....
Hi tom, thanks. I did not use any stains. The finish starts with a coat of super blonde dewaxed shellac then a couple coats of a polly and oil mixture. I eliminate the sap wood through stock...
Twin dressers for my twin daughters who are 8 years old. I have been working on this project in my spare time for over a year and now they're finnaly done. The girls are ecstatic!

This is model of 2 dresser’s I am building that I drew in sketchup. I am a bit of a beginner in sketchup and the model is not 100% accurate in relation to my final plan...
Typically loose tenons with this machine. I suppose you could make tenons with it.
Last week while runing my pennstate 2 hp bag type DC I heard a bang then there was a cloud of dust. The 5" flex thay goes from the impeller to the canister had a hole in it. The hose was a little...
Well I'm done routing dadoes and have everything put away now but I did take this pic of the router and jig sitting on the dadowiz. I added some duct tape to form a bit of a skirt until I can find or...
I decided to spend a little shop time making a jig to get the dust collection problem under control. here's what I came up with after spending a minimal amount of time and using only materials I had...
Thanks for the reply. Thats a nice setup. Makes more sense to have the router down on the workpiece and no guide collar so DC is effective. I routed 14 dadoes yesterday with no DC and my shop is a...
I really like the dadowiz for making dadoes with the router but dust collection is a problem. I have a dust port on my router but with a guide collar in place and the router resting on the dadowiz...
Thanks, I tend to lean toward full extension guide to ensure smooth operation. I like the idea of a drawer box with a curved front then attach the drawer face. For me attaching the faces once the...
I am pretty new to sketchup but thanks to youtube video tutorials I am catching on. Here is a dresser I am working on. The piece will present some new challenges for me. I have done a few bent...
I built this horizontal router jig from plans featured in an old issue of Shopnotes magazine vol. 12 issue 68. The jig excels at routing mortice and tenon joinery and slots for concealed hinges. The...
Very inspiring work.
I think the torsion box shelf was a good choice. Looks very sturdy.
Very well done. I have a step daughter that is into dragons as well. She would love that. Is this your own pattern?
I have built three of these changing tables. The design allows the piece to be converted to a small dresser when the child grows out the diapers. Here is the first piece I built.

Shes a beauty! professional grade work here.
Really nice assembly table. I really like the idea of having the hold down tracks and laminated top. How are the locking casters working out? did you put the rug down to keep them from skidding and...
That is some serious woodworking right there! I am struggling to wrap my mind around some of the techniques used here.
Both are very nice projects and the "cowboy cooler" is really cool. Considering the fact that you are a beginner and the wood used, your work is amazing.
