Did you use longer screws in the bottom hinges, or did you use longer screws in all hinges and the top one is not installed the same? Were the gaps the same before you installed it?

I wiped everything down with mineral spirits (suggestion from internet), put a fan on them. Hopefully this works. I never stain anything, may never again in the summer here.

As I've gotten older, cosmetic scars on tools no longer bothers me. If it works, carry-on. No need to spend good cash on something that doesn't affect the performance of the tool. Just my $.02.
