I just saw it sale priced at two different tool stores... One had it for $449.00, and the other had it for $469.00.... Those are Canadian prices.
Regular price around here is $549.00

A high quality foam roller on your last coat will give a nicer finish.
I'm talking about the mini foam rollers... They are 3 or 4 in. long x around 1 1/2 thick. They sell them AT HD.

I know you said you wanted info on the Laguna... (I don't have any), but did you rule out the Powermatic?

The Globe style ones they put on older sofas, and ottomans work well for mobilty, and make the least lasting footprint in the carpet.

You can still buy them butt, they are kinda dated looking,...

Hi Paul, Yes Grizzly said it has been discontinued. I would guess they are making a few changes as to give it a new model#, and re release it for a higher price in the new year.

I guess there will be a new model with a new #, and some changes made coming in the new year. I'll bet a new price too....

I have that machine, and I do like it.
I have bought reconditoned tools a few times with good success, but I've read a few bad stories with reconditoned Ridgid tools.

The inserts for the G0453 cutterhead are 14x14x2 mm, with a straight cutting edge.
The inserts for the G1021X2 are 15x15x2.5 mm, with a slightly round cutting face.

I like this planer, and I want it but, the price of the inserts for the cutterhead bother me.
They are $59.00 for 10 vs $25.00 for the inserts for the regular...
