I ripped some clear pine into 1\8 x 3\4" strips and laminated a hoop the diameter of a 30ga HD trash bag. I covered it with window screen and mounted a piece of 3\4 stock in it with a hole to fit...

I made quite a few pieces for the wife out of red oak. Years ago after buying a red oak kitchen set at Bald Furniture, they turned me on to Prelude now General Finishes oil/urethane finishes. It is...
Chlorine is very corrosive. I have to be careful what I leave in my pool pump house.
Nice tip Ron, I'd have never thought of that.
+1 on paste wax. I live on the coast and it keeps my cast looking good.
I thought the Do All saws cut and welded the blades from a spool of stock. I could be wrong though.
I have a Freud FT1700 that has a metal lift screw and does above the table bit change. It also allows spindle lock and base lock through the table, all with the same key.
Can't imagine running stock that needs that much capacity.
Ya, I picked one up and was kinda disappointed in it's torque. Will hardly drive a #6 x 1/2" screw into red oak without pre drilling. OK for getting into tight places though.
I went the opposite route. Wife wanted a total kitchen remod so I decided to do all the cabinets myself. That kept a couple $k in my pocked for some shop tool upgrades. I don't do this kind of work...
I needed oak bead board and couldn't find it local. I ended up resawing some 3/4 stock and cutting 1/4 lap joints in the planks. I then ran it through the router table with a Bosch 1/8 beading bit...
I think the blocks will work better on blades less than 3/16.
I would be interested in locating a source too.
Took advantage of the good weather Cody brought us and mowed a couple acres, cleaned and serviced the pool, help the wife haul around some landscaping, smoked two briskets and got the sink...
I've been using 5mm Luan. I daddo 3/8 up from the bottom so if a drawer gets very wide, I resaw a piece of pine to 3/8 thick and glue it to the luan, front to back on the bottom side as a stiffener.
My FIL used it for steel guitars. When he pass my MIL told me to take all his wood. When we remodeled a bath, I used it to make the face frame and drawer fronts on a floating vanity. Beautiful...
Great source for cheap wood, just watch for nails, screws and staples that can wreck your shop tools. I watch what comes on the dock and grab the oak pallets that have at least 4/4 runners and good...
Spent Saturday mowing and trying to beat the rain.
Sunday, started the Island/Bar base for our kitchen remodel.

Nice Randy, Say... are you brewing beer back there?
Built the last of the drawer boxes for our kitchen remod. Now I have around 50 doors to build.
I'll be in the shop for the next few weekends. I'm missing prime riding season here in Texas. :(
I am in the final stage of my rebuild. I have planned all along to do the doors and fronts after cabinets and bases were built and installed. This way I can use my laser to make sure all fronts and...
Great info. I'm ready to replace my Craftsman 9" and the G0555 is a definite candidate.
Sent a 1:1 scale AutoCAD drawing of the profile to LRH and they came back with $700 for the set.http://www.twtex.com/forums/images/smilies/eek2.gif
North State tool came back with $340. Looks...
I have a panel bit that is close but the arbor is build in. I wouldn't be able to cut the slot or tongue in the same pass but that could be an option, exhausting all others. I would just need to be...
Thanks Jason, I called Blue Saw and Kenny sent me to Free Born. Struck out there and Cory with FB pointed me to LRH, we'll see what they say.
(edit) LRH came back with a $300 custom too.
Myk, I...
Howdy, newb here with a question.
I need to make some cabinet doors to match the ones in our kitchen. They are double cathedral flat panel. All the rail and stile sets I can find have only a 3/8...
