A mini flashlight provides the light?
Also, where did you find the acrylic blocks?
Thanks

I used TBIII on some frame and panel WRC gates a few years ago. The glue is holding up just fine. I'm on the central coast of CA so my weather is a bit different, so YMMV.
This is the build of the project I was asking input for in this thread:

So I finally got around to building the table....
:)
Nicely done!
EDIT: To OP, bow saws are fun to build an allow for some personal expression. Blades are easy enough to come by (many use bandsaw blades cut to fit, oftentimes removing some set).[/QUOTE]
+1 on...
Thanks Wayne. That's quite a screw..!
I didn't realize how heavy the load would be, especially with the elevated "sandbox" table. That amount of sand will weigh ~200lbs when dry.
Hi All.
I've been asked by my daughter's preschool to make a pair of outdoor play tables. The tables will be ~36" on a side. One has a 3x3 grid tile top of nominal 12" tiles (actual 11 5/8") and...
I made six frame and panel WRC gates ~3 years ago using a variation of Jerry's drawing above, except in my case I didn't use a tongue. I wound up making a 14 degree bevel on the top of the bottom...
When we reworked our house we went with a craftsman feel as well. Our house had the original VGDF flooring and some original VGDF windows and doors. The original wood had darkened to a near mahogany...
I agree with Bob and Brian above. It looks to be bottoming out somewhere. If it's not glued up then this should be totally fixable. If it is glued up I would think the tiny wedge fix would be your...
I have it too and like it. The blades tend to chip so best to have some spares (they're double edged). As mentioned, it *really* throws chips. I have taken to doing planing outside and directing the...
...that I am allergic to epoxy!!
There were some spots of my floor that were more heavily damaged. I wound up filling those spots with epoxy (you can color that if desired), leveling it out with the surrounding floor, coating the...
You are right about the BLO, MS is mineral spirits.
Here is a pic i could grab of how the floor turned out.

I wound up making a test panel of new wood and one of old wood. I developed a finishing schedule that gave me satisfactory results on both panels and the proceeded with the repair and finishing of...
I would guess that the original flooring is douglas fir (DF). My home is also from '39 and is done in DF and I was in a very similar position to you. I would up buying a few pieces of modern new DF...
UC Davis did some work on that. Here is a website showing their results with citations to the published papers. The bottom line is that wood, regardless of the species, was found to have strong...
I like to test for 90 by taking a piece of scrap (square and true, preferably 1 1/2" thick) and cutting a hunk off the end. Then I'll take the offcut, flip it over, and abut it to the freshly cut end...
I know, old post... but it sounds like your brand of MS is not compatible with the WLX.
About 5 years ago I built 18 sashes of VGDF windows to match those original to the house. The original 1939 glass was bedded and the millwork was painted under the glazing. For the new sash, I pre...
I used these for a screen door. The mortise for the lock set is only 1/2" thick.

I can't speak to the differences between the PCS and ICS, but I rolled with the ICS and it is a solid piece of equipment. My 2 cents is go big.
I put a woodpecker lift in the right side MDF extension of my TS a couple years back and like the setup. The MDF isn't as nice as iron for the lift, but it works well enough and is easy to do and is...
Nicely done. I am equally impressed by your ability to complete such a task while taking care of little ones! I haven't managed to figure out how to balance that yet...

The above type of connector gives a good seal, OK flow properties, a little wiggle room, and some vibration dampening all in one.
Be sure to take...
