pretty sure it was the Wood Whisperer that did a whole review on the 5000 and overall it was favorable.
I've got the 3000. not having anything to compare it to, I'm satisfied so far. I'm not a...
ditto on the cover.
my shop is an oversized two car garage that serves multiple purposes, including parking for one car.
The car we keep in there is just a mid size SUV, and I don't really...
Is that a rhetorical question?
First guess would be "No Such Agency"
Back when ISP's still disconnected end user internet connections when there was no activity, even DSL (which was in its...
I've been a Direct customer for about five years. HD customer for three years.
A buddy signed up with them a couple months ago and they literally gave away the whole ball of wax.
Since I was...
that is wicked fast. those are some pretty narrow lanes, I can see how passing would be rather difficult on a circuit like that.
It takes a lot of skill to go in a circle for 200+ miles at the...
lol, that's some funny stuff right there
yep, from a technology perspective, these cars are cutting edge. And, to drive one at the speeds they are driven requires a skill unlike most of us could ever know. Sort of like putting wheels on...
just curious about how you got in to making such unusual tables without already having the market?
ahh, well, you didn't specify so I made the leap.
in that case, I'm not sure.
I've learned the hard way that Target Coatings EM6000 doesn't apply well to heavily applied shellace (dewaxed), but...
i'm pretty sure you need to use dewaxed shellac if you are using shellac as a barrier coat between whatever and your topcoat
hmmm, nothing to be found on the OBP web site (Portland OR. PBS Station). I sent them a message.
I've tried to watch F1 but there is something about it that I just can't get into. Not really sure what it is.
I watch American Le Mans Series, both Grand Am races (Rolex and Continental), and...
I'm sure the Delta of that era is probably far superior to anything in the 10" size you could buy new for somewhat comparable prices.
I always hate it when someone asks about a tool and the...
I hired a guy to come out and clear about a half acre of alder saplings. Averaged about 1.5" diameter trunks. He had a Bobcat with a rotary attachment "Brushcat" and took those things out in short...
YEP!! Didn't get in on the game until late in the 2nd, was a little concerned with the score at that point... then they just started turning up the heat and plowed over the Niners.
Forsett looked...
thanks Scott. I guess I could have actually read a few of the first words you typed in your OP
anyway, I'll check out some of those resources. What do you, or anyone else, think of the...
very nice. is this your first? I've had a solid body project bouncing around in my head for a while now. on a scale of 1 to 10 where you would put the difficulty????
curious about resources...
Van Dykes was the ticket.
And I guess the term I was not familiar with was "gallery"
Thank you.
Hey all,
It's been a while since visiting, hope everyone is doing well.
I'm looking for some hardware options for putting a small railing on the front of a bookshelf shelf.
Not really the...
seems like that would do. I've had 36" floating shelves with books on them and only drywall/deck screws holding them in.... only one per stud at that
a lag screw would probably be more of a sure...
funny, I was just on the Target forums yesterday reading up on why my EM6000 crazed or crackled.
I took away two bits of information from the posts I read over there
1. there could be some...
LOL, I know what you mean. Having absolutely no clue about the chemistry of much of this stuff, logic would suggest if you need a barrier between blo and em6000, you should need a barrier between...
I only used the shellac as a barrier between the blo and water based lacquer.
The clear stain is linseed oil of some kind, but a barrier isn't required between the two products
Hey everyone,
It has been a while since I've been here. Not up to much, getting through the winter. Shop/garage isn't heated well, so it has been down time for me in the shop.
Anyway...
