I don't have a lot of experience with a shaper, but those pictures make me pucker!
McMaster Carr has what you need. I got mine there when I rebuilt my PM 81.
Anybody try one of these?

Chris - I have them honed with a 30 degree secondary bevel. I thought about bumping them to 35 but these are all purpose chisels and I don't want to hamper my paring ability.
Still, I may give it...
I never tire of chisel threads...
When I started down the neander slope a couple of years ago, I purchased a set of Ashley Iles Mk II chisels. I have been quite happy with them -- they are well...
I thought the same thing, George. Lapping the sole of a new Veritas or LN is ridiculous enough, but on a bench? Unbelievable. I just lost a lot of respect for FWW.
The Woodwork Shop is a decent place, and they routinely have demos. Nice guys, too. http://www.thewoodworkshopinc.com/
2 years ago, I would have told you to visit Colco Woods, a fantastic lumber...
I'll be there! And I'll be in at least one class with you Alex.
Oh, and Rob, every single Veritas tool I own makes me smile too!
Having just received a Blue Spruce marking knife with an African blackwood handle, I know where you are coming from!:o
Did I need a $50 marking knife? Of course not, but every time I use it I...
I've never been before, but have registered for Cinci. We should have a SC social.
I just bought a shop vac ultra pro, and it is very quiet. Very happy with it.
Buck...his wife was with him!
So, a few days ago I listed on Craigslist a 10" GMC (Australian company) sliding compound miter saw. I bought it on clearance at Lowe's several years ago for about $150, I think. I used it for a...
Greg...sent you a pm.
I have done that, Clint. No problems. I hated the slot set screws.
I had a similar design challenge with my most recent piece, and I used loose tenons to attach the frame to the sides. Worked great for me.
Glad you like the Victorinox set, Brian. They are awfully hard to beat for the price. Heck, they are hard to beat at any price.
Just an update...
I am about halfway through a duplicate of my last project, and it is easily going at least two or three times as fast. Five things have led to this:
1) I spent a good bit of...
I hesitate to respond to this thread...so much has been said, I'm not sure I have anything new to add. But I'll try.
I just ordered one from Lee Valley. For me, the decision was easy. ...
Well, this thread has spurred some action on my part. Over the weekend, I started work on a better lumber storage system for my shop. I was spending too much time sorting through my pile,...
Just to clarify, the Victorinox knives are not "heirloom" tools. They handle great and keep a sharp edge, but they won't draw oohs and ahhs from your guests. I have a couple global knives if I want...
Cooks Illustrated is a very reliable source of info about everything cooking. Their equipment reviews are thorough and fair. And, when they test knives, Victorinix Fibrox knives routinely come out...
When I restored my PM 81 bandsaw that had a 3 line racing stripe, I went to a local sign shop that makes vinyl signs and lettering. They were able to make me a self adhesive vinyl stripe to my...
