These were sent to me last week, in a slide show of a town in Switzerland. I would hate to be the owners of the two motor vehicles. This is cold with more power on top!!!!
I had a G0513 band saw donated to the scene shop here at the H.S. I work at. It has been turned on only a few times ( info from the donor who is upgrading to a 19") for some light resawing. It came...
I have more rules for my shop at work, since it is an educational environment, but several rules/beliefs I have at both shops are:
1. Safety first, second, third etc......
2. Eyes and ears...
Awesome Job Fred. Looks like there will be plenty of poker games going on at your place. Just remember no matter who wins, the house gets 15% off the top.:D I have also enjoyed following the...
Awseome gift.:) It just goes to show you that WW's are some of the most generous people in the world. I hope this gives him the boost he needs to further his love of woodworking.
Great Job!!!

Thanks for the comments guys.

Dan: I wish I had more need for the clamp cart. I don't have as many as I would like, especially long clamps. Most of the ones...
I am not the best with heights, but have had to be able to work at various heights in my field, especially when working with traveling theatre companies. One of my most freightening jaunts into the...

It does feel good to be recognized for your work. What you said in the article about cost of custom furniture is true. Most people don't understand what that term "custom work"...
Welcome Corey!!I think you will find SMC to be positive, helpful and a fun place to ask questions, share information and learn.:)
Holy Cow!!!!! What a haul. You have more patience than I do. I would be devising ways to be able to move that stuff in myself (HMMM, lets see I could use Air Casters, Repulsor lifts, anti-gravity...

Has the Houston WW show already happened. If not, what are the dates? I have been so busy I have not been able to find out.

Great looking saw. I think the older equipment is better in some ways to the newer equipment. I am finishing up the last of the work on redoing the PM66 for the shop here, and can't wait to get it...
My wifes family is from Southern Mississippi, this would be nothing more than a take home meal delivered in free alligator skin bags. "Honey Wheres my Skinning Knife OOOOOOOHHHHWWWEEE".
Like some of the others have said, I also like the clean lines of these pieces. It highlights more of the functionality, and visual strength of the piece with less fluff. I have noticed in some of...
Yes, ony a number of occasions. I have used it several times on stage to make wooden shields, and fake wooden I-beams look like metal. Even at a distance it looks real. My home is decorated in rustic...
I am not aware of anything I might have done. I just compressed the photos to the right size, so I could upload them. I went back and checked the origional photo, and it is the same way.
I don't...
It has really been fun and a good learning/teaching tool for both Nick and myself. It really has not been as hard as some other rebuilds I have read about, but did have it's own challenges. I...
Thanks for all of the input. I spent some more time researching both saws and will be ordering the Makita 1214 next week. Ahhhh the anticipation of a new tool!!
Well the cabinet for the saw has been stripped, primed and painted. It was not that difficult, just that it was done a little at a time. Both Nick ( for those of you who have not read the previous...
