I have the 12" j/p combo, and I have been very happy with it, I was coming from a 6" bench top, so could only go up. There have been a couple of times it has annoyed me that I had switch back between...
North end like Lake Forrest Park, so Bellingham a bit out of the way :). I will check out Emerald Tools.
Any recommendations for carbide blade and bit sharpening in the Seattle area, preference would be in the north end.
Thanks for the info.
It is really too bad, growing up, my dad used almost exclusively craftsman tools, so I have a fondness for them, but now I won't even look at them. Really too bad Sears has fallen so far.
What is the reason for the upgrade? Delta 6" bench top to Grizzly 6" bench top, does not seem like much if any of an upgrade.
I totally agree, I have read several band saw books, and I learned more in that video on how to tune the BS, than any of the books. He makes it seem so much easier.
Wish I did not see that, the $263 is burning a hole in my pocket now.
Looks, good can't wait to upgrade mine, will need to keep a look out for the 20% off.
Not really an answer to your specific question, but I have a Rockler table, and when I upgrade to a lift I will go with this one, it is $100 more but is made by Jessem and will handle a 3 1/4 hp.

I was thinking of doing the same thing if I got it.
That was my thought too, it looks like the supports for the stand are closer to the router plate than too the edge, so it should have good support, but could always add more support when I build a...
What are your thoughts on this one, anyone own one, what do you think? I checked this one out and it looks nice, you can get in on sale right now (free stand) for $399.

Mine came separate, and I had to ask the driver for it, he was ready to just deliver the pallet. They were the 52" rails and they were damaged, but SS replaced them super fast.
I am considering upgrading to a Byrd Shelix for my Hammer A3-31, but it seems like I would be left with a pretty expensive paper weight. What can be done with the original straight knife cutter...
For a long time I had a contractor saw and not much space. Knowing that someday I would have more space and upgrade to a cabinet saw, I put off building out feed table (10 years). I finally...
I went with the SawStop, a bonus I learned after the fact, they have the best customer service I have ever dealt with.
For those who have or plan to change heads, what are you doing with the old head? Seems like an expensive paper weight to have laying around.
I have used a tile blade in a Jig saw.
Wow, that is impressive!
I just bought a SawStop PCS. The front fence tube arrived damaged (possible shipping), called them and they immediately sent me a new one, no questions asked, and it arrived the next day, and it was...
Saw a tip some where to tape the plans to a roll up shade.
It looks like LP SmartSide, I used OSB on the inside and SmartSide on the outside, there is pretty much no difference except the OSB was thicker and cheaper. A couple of coats of paint and the OSB...
Not sure if they specifically drew on any of my projects, but they have drawn on other walls/furniture etc. They did split the lid (not on a glue joint either) of a blanket chest I made that we keep...
Having a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl, I will tell you that it will be impossible to: 1. keep them from getting splinters, 2. keep the patina looking beautiful. If they are around something...
