Maybe you can sell the 3ph motor or do a swap. Google is a good tool.
For flat panels, I just let it dry and then scrape off the ridge, usually after about 24 hours when the clamps come off. After scraping, I use the ROS or the drum sander.
I have a Craftsman that I bought new in 1976 and I still get good use of it. Unlike most, I don't pull mine through, but push it like a circular saw.
Ain't it wonderful here? The coldest my shop has been is about 46. Used a small electric heater for about 5 days and that's it.
I like the squirrel cage because it moves a lot of air, got mine free, is two speed, and really draws the dust. With scraps and a two speed switch, I have about $5.00 in mine....
