Yes but we usually burn the part that remains on the lathe when we are done. :D
But if all the dust collects in one place, it should be easier to keep the bathroom clean. :D
I have one in my master bath.
I have used mine for some time with the green pyramid shaped media HF sells. While it may take some time, it does the job.
One hint is to run a couple of pieces of wet paper towel in the machine...
