Hi Robert,
Sorry, I didn't see your post until today. So far I am happy with the machine, the only thing I wish I would have done different is to go a little larger with the vacuum or maybe do two...
Hello everyone,
I purchased a ShopSabre 4814 late spring early summer, got lots of advice from you all on here. I'm curious to know what kind of speeds you cut at, what is realistic on this...
I tried looking into the Laguna CNC line, it took a few days for someone to contact me, when they did they had no info for me but to say their computer died and would get back to me. At least a...
I went with the 12hp because it wasn't much to upgrade the spindle, so it only made sense to do so. I do have three phase however it is ran through a converter. I'm talking with Excel right now to...
Ok Guys,
I made the decision, I went with a ShopSabre 4814, 5x10 table with vacuum hold down. 12HP HSD spindle with ATC, I also added the 4th axis. There's a lot of good machines out there, the...
I'm going to the Shop Sabre plant on Monday, I'll be sure to let you all know what I think. Definitely looking forward to it.
As the search for the right machine continues. I spoke yesterday with a local industrial machine rep, he brought up two other machines and I'm wondering if any of you have any experience with either...
Thanks for the replies, I have some more research to do yet, they both seem like very good machines. I am waiting to hear back from CAMaster, I had emailed them last week and asked to have someone...
Well, we have decided to take the plunge into the CNC world. I have been doing quite a bit of research for the last couple weeks and think I have narrowed it down to these two machines (Shop Sabre...
Looks to me to be about a 1/4" short as well, I'd take it down and redo it.
Curious, why are you hand nailing it and not using an 18ga nailer?
I used to work at Rockler, we returned many of these clamps and chucked them m straight into the dumpster. They bend and break easy and have very little clamping pressure when compared to any other...
Lots of great finds.
14" Sliding Table Saw
37" Wide Belt Sander
18" Jump Saw
80 Gallon Two Stage Compressor
C.R. Onsrud Inverted Pin Router (there big one)
Dowling Machine
Buffing Machine...
After looking at the material again, we decided to try it dry and did so without issues. It's all in place and looks great.
Thanks for the advice.
Well, my thought was the finger joints would fail as well which is why I wanted more opinions. According to the manufacturer of the bending rail we can steam it for hours and the joints won't fail,...
So I have a curved railing to do, I am the second trimmer on the job, the first trimmer broke the bending rail while trying to make the radius. So I was thinking I would steam them first, problem is...
yep, definitely Bubinga.
Wow, what a place. Looking forward to seeing that table, or is this a down the road project.
Probably one of the best restaurants you'll find, was all you can eat when I lived in Springfield (11 years ago that is).
Hands down I go with the sander. If need be for dimensioning purposes I can put on a 36g belt and sand it down relatively quickly. I also have the option of ordering my material the dimension I want...
Well I ordered a new Woodmaster 725 last week and was told it would be about a month until delivery. This was last Wednesday, well Saturday FedEx pulls in with two boxes, sure enough from...
I would also agree. +1
Although the Felder is an excellent machine I would opt for the panel saw for the moment. If you start doing full kitchens or even a whole house job you will quickly find the space to be a premium.
Could very well be the case, I do know they get quite a bit for them. IMO I wouldn't bother for the upgrade even if they are still available, it isn't worth the price.
Jeff has this spot on. I've had two at one point in time and ran them for about 4 years. I've spent a bit of time with the designer on the machine, overall I think there great machines.
I always...
I did get the reverse for it, don't know how much I'll use it but its a cheap add on. I figured it could be helpful for moulding setup.
I plan to use it mostly as a planer, and figured I may make...
