We are in Fort Wayne IN. I thought I had it in my profile but will add it. There were mite strips that came with our haul. We haven't been through everything but I think there are 8 or 9 hives.
Thanks for this Mike and very timely. My wife and I went to look at some wood this weekend. As I was looking at the wood, my wife asks the lady "are those bee hives?" The lady said we could have...
Hopefully Luke will share some of his work because he makes some beautiful Windsor chairs. I just happened to find his website this morning. Plus, he's not too far from me.
Beautiful work. I love to turn osage but as everyone else said, the tools must be sharp.
Cottonwood

I use a product called PlastiX which is an automotive product used for headlights. I have never had an issue with it on my pens.
Beautiful work. I can not imagine the time spent creating this. Not to mention the time sanding.
Paul hasn't posted here since 2012 and this post is over 8 years old so I don't know if he will respond to you.
I have made a couple. I came down about 1.5 inches. For the slot you just need to make sure that it is very smooth so it does not catch the yarn.
I'm #4 for Estes Park RMNP. Estes Park is a great place.
Beautiful work as usual Bill.

This is the way to go. If you call you will probably get a price that won't be beat.
I use a hook knife to hollow and regular carving knives for the rest.
Nice combination of wood. I'm still working on my first bow.
Dennis, you will probably get a lot more replies if you post this in the neanderthal forum.
Very nice work
You missed another one........kids
Brian, I have had the same light that Rick mentioned for three years and I have never had a problem with it holding position.
If you're close to me I would be glad  to store one for you.
I carve spoons out of mostly cherry or fruit woods. What commercial ones are made of I don't know.
There is someone else from Fort Wayne on this forum.
