Your looking at 2 casings at $300 and 1 casing at $225. Each having an inside 3 drawer unit at $200 each. Thats $1425 just for box production. An average of $20 sq ft of door and face frame for it's...
Type in the model number to see if you can get a recall kit. http://www.radialarmsawrecall.com/
I bought a smaller edge sander at 900$ to complete a job I am doing presently. But I did research the Vega and It seems to to be the one for me. It's 132'' which would be great and the quality seems...
Dave, check out my last thread titled "Twisted platen on new 108 edge sander".
Its the same asian built machine. I ended up returning it. I bought a 89 that wasnt to much twisted and I decided...
As promised here is my update . The mobile tchnicien called me to pass on from King that they will send me another platen but that I was not to expect getting one that didn't have a twist. He said...
Thank you all of you for this information. Mike, I've heard about Vega on the net before and this machine does sounds very interesting. That 2k I paid was in Canadian dollars and shipping is sure to...
Oops, it's actually 3 days after my purchase that the repairman came over and not 23 days as I wrote.
Yes its not a bad joke, the platen is twisted on my brand new King 108 oscilating edge sander. This is the same edge sander as Delta except that it has a 2 hp instead of a 3 hp. I think Grizzly and...
Thats funny, I have a picture of mine holding a moose just like your photo, just.... can't...... find it..... on the computer. ( -:
Great shop Gary! And pat on the back to all those faithful shop...
Dan I've had the same problem with making multiple angled cuts for a couple of projects. I used a draftsman protractor which very accurate but consistancy was hard to achieve. I went back to my...
Good going Burt!
I'm not a refinishing expert, but I reversed glue a couple of times before on dovetailed drawers, and an old headboard and the idea is to wet all the glue in that area enough to be able to seperate...
The type of glue used 100 years ago just might be reversable with water. So using a syringe with water, you might be able to loosen the glue. For sure this is easier sais than done, but with...
Oops hit the wrong key, here it is again!
If it's that old, you might be able to un glue the two lower traverses with water and a inverted clamp. then you will have room to drill out the stubs and...
I went with the 18'' Superjig. Didn't have the need for 24'' at the time and I guess money was a factur also. So far I haven't done a projet that requires 24'', mainly drawers, and a number of boxes....
Dan, I bought the Leigh jig two years ago, used on four projects , not as mush as I was hoping for, but with the minimum experience i have in dovetail jigs, I believe it to be one of the most precise...
Would this work?

Dennis, use the european hinges from Blum (or other top quality brand) Making the 1/2" hole is easy, clean and quick with a drill press. The hole is what gives you the sturdiness of hing systems....
Wow Shiraz! I am impressed! I will be looking for Grizzly dealers in eastern Canada for my next big tool purchase.
LOML insist on asking (not me) where were your cargo straps?
Seriously I hope you can repair it, and the important thing is that no one was hurt.
Mark, try this link lots of info on braces. I'm in Canada and pole barn constructions are not the most popular type of framing up here. In our typical 2x4 or 2x6 , 16@ stud wall framing it is quit...
I think theres no way around it. Buy rough the most stable wood that is recommended on this thread so far. (cherry if I am not misstaken) Mill it on the jointer in conjunction with the tablesaw as...
75 lbs at LV for 12$ a pair. http://www.leevalley.com/hardware/page.aspx?c=2&p=52484&cat=3,43614,43616&ap=1
I don't have the instruction booklet presently at hand , but if I recall it does mention something about setting up a homemade jig to enable you to fit small pieces on the FMT.
