Count me in with a 2004 BMW R1200C.
For what it's worth, the Black Pearl is there, however, it sailed under its own name, "The Lady Washington".
I had the good fortune of watching the parade of ships from the helm of a 42' Grand...
In Puyallup, we didn't even get the momentary diversion of having snow, just rain, rain, rain...:(
At least we're nearly to the solstice -- everyday thereafter gets a least a little bit more...
If you get the flashing kit with the skylights, installing them is not too difficult (assuming you understand the basics of how to roof and flash). IMHO, the real challenge is the interior mudding...
I don't really have any good ideas for a name but thought that I should mention that my family and I will be picking up our first puppy on Labor day weekend -- and it's also a Goldendoodle! :)
...
Count me in as one more who thinks the present structure is well worth saving. You've received a lot of good ideas here -- removing one door and fixing the other, replacing the roof (remove...
For seafood, I recommend either Dukes or Chandlers Crab House on Lake Union or Chandlers over looking Elliot Bay. Another unique dining experience that you'd probably enjoy is Wild Ginger -- a...
Personally, I don't think what is represented in the pictures is all that bad. I would call it about average for what passes as a mdf, paint grade interior trim job these days.
As a painter, I...
I have a piece of what I believe is the very same stuff that I purchased from Depot a few years back. I think it's asbestos. A lot of people fail to realize that although its illegal to manufacture...
I guess I'll have to be the lone dissenting voice here. Over the past 10 years or so I can remember allowing 12 employees to telecommute. For 6 of these, it didn't last a year. Four people made it...
I built two of the Cape Charles model (I believe that's the name - its been 10 years :o ). If I recall, they were wonderful boats to paddle. I recommend buying a commercial seat though if you plan...
I have the Keller jig and find that it is all that it's cracked up to be -- a practically foolproof method for quickly producing fixed spaced through dovetails.
My $.02 is that there's not a...
From my perspective, it appeared the reason why the topic was allowed to continue and initially "seemed harmless" was because the moderators shared the point of view of the original poster.
John,
It sounds like it might be easier to simply brush it. Spraying lattice is always tricky in terms of controlling overspray not to mention how inefficient it can be. You didn't state what...
I'm pretty much with Jason on this one -- focus on the pump and general hardware and not the motor. I'm presently on my 2nd unit, which is on its 5th year. My situation is that during the dry...
I spray it 95% of the time. The only exception would be somthing small and simple. I usually spray a couple of light coats, sanding 220 after the first coat and 320 after the second.
Craig,
You might want to try Crosscut Lumber on 1st ave. S. just south of the west Seattle highway. And I'm sure there's at least a dozen other places in the greater Seattle/King Co. area that...
Put me down as another vote for door style #2.
Royce,
If you would indulge me one more question, who specifically supplies your foam? I did what you suggested last night and searched the web but was unable to find anyone who simply sold the...
Royce,
What type of router bit are you using? And, to clarify, are you saying that the thickness of each side is either 1/2" OR 5/8"? Do you put the foam insert in both halves?
Thanks in...
It's not woodworking but... since it's supposed to get up to 50 degrees today and actually be sunny, I think I'll go out for my first motorcycle ride of the year!
And, if I'm lucky enough not to...
I'd like to echo Joe's comments. In my position, I do fair amount of hiring and one of the biggest mistakes I see are people sending out boiler plate cover letters/resumes.
I would argue that...
Besides family, work, and the 10 million "honey/daddy do's", I find time for flyfishing, riding my motorcycle (BMW R1100R), golfing and the Seattle Mariners.
Sorry for momentarily diverting from what is proving to be an interesting topic -- but holy cow the prices for hardwood at the aforementioned mill are simply unbelievable for this westcoaster.
To clarify, I don't find the fund drives offensive at all. I can totally appreciate the need to cover expenses, and dare I say, even compensate yourself for the time, effort and expertise you...
