No dumb questions, right?
I am installing accuride drawer slides. Is there a top to bottom clearance (vertical space between drawers).
I know you need 1/2 inch on each side.
Thanks

Thanks for the information.

Does anyone have any experience with one of the chucks for a router? Can you use 8MM router bits with it?
Thanks

I agree with your statement about it being impossible to capture the look of hand cut. The Wood Rat seems to be the only one that can come close.
However, I like the fact that the Keller is a 7...
Their website is also great (Leigh's). I assume that support would also be great.
They seem like leaders. I noticed that the Akeda is made in the same region of Canada. I wonder if this is a...
That would be interesting but I couldn't pay for my kid's college for a month.

I really don't care about cutting "real" half blind dovetails. I would glue on a front. Charles Neil does that and that would be good enough for me.
I think the Leigh is king. On there website...
well, I am sure there are no comparisons with hand cut dovetails. But in being on this forum for over a year now, I have noticed that people like to post things about their dovetail jig and there is...
Well, I hope Robert is out there and will speak up. He did a great job with that modification.
I have noticed there are quite a few Keller owners on this forum. I hope some will have answers.

From posts I have read in this forum, the Keller dovetail jig seems like it has a lot going for it in terns of being user friendly.
My question is whether it is hard to change the number of pins...
Very impressive. An Heirloom. Thanks for the "Board to box" blog. Instructive.

How do you do the Lock Miters? Is there a bit you recommend? Hard to set up.
Thanks

I want to make some shop drawers and some storage drawers out of 1/2 inch Baltic Birch. Do they look funny?
Probably better off using pine and planing it down.
Input welcome.

Is it hard to make through dovetails in Baltic Birch? Hard on the cutters? Tearout?
Thanks

I actually read Nancy's comments wrong and mistook her Blum slides for Accuride.
Blum makes the very expensive undermount slide which is very nice, but spendy. Then they have the inexpensive 3/4...
KV seems to be must less expensive that Accuride. Is there a difference?

How do you put the Crown staples in? Air nailer?

Thank for the info. Actually, the baltic birch is just a little under 1/2 inch.
Thanks for the feedback.

drawers would be for shop or utility purposes. Not heirloom funiture (which I can't build anyway).
Which drawer lock bit do you use/recommend?
Thanks

I want to make a few drawers with 1/2 inch baltic birch. It would be interesting to hear what you folks think about building drawers with Kreg pocket screws.
Also, do you put in a 1/4 inch...
Actually, I think I will be getting the casters as a gift, so I think they will be Woodcraft. But am wasting them by using four double locking ones on one mobile unit?
Thanks
SB
I want to make a nice mobile base. I am going to buy the casters at Woodcraft.
My question is, do I need four double locking casters or two double locking casters and two non locking casters? ...
