Excellent job on both the table and the finish. I'm glad it worked out for you.

Ray,
You might want to add a bit of mineral spirits or turpentine to the poly as well as some BLO. For about a pint of poly add 2 cap fulls of mineral spirits or turpentine and a cap full of BLO. ...
I too wouldn't finish the inside, but if it bothers you not to, then just use a 2# cut of shellac. It's fast, easy and inexpensive. Also finish the pieces before you put the case together :D
If you scroll down the page to about mid way of this link http://www.technospray.nl/folders/accessories.pdf you can see what a mil thickness gauge looks like and how to get one:D
I have a accuspray 230k (three stage) unit with 2 #10 Guns. I spray mostly waterborne form ML Campbell and Fuhr International.
Use a brush. . . .:D
It just doesn't make sense to recommend the less reliable practice.
From who's vantage point, not mine, maybe yours. From mine it's 100% since in over 25 years I've never had a failure. I've had...
The simple fact the "experts" recommend a particular "thing" or practice is most often a matter of marketing and not always the most accurate.
Tommy,
Here is an example of the process.

Hardly a test of fate or a long shot bet, just countless projects (by me and I'm sure many others as well) and never a failure.:D
Chris,
Sure you can and your project will look just great.:D
For at least 9 years now I've been countering the folks that say you can't because (insert your own/any reasons here). Shellac is...

I tend to agree with Peter in the sense that you need to get a certain value for your money from anything you buy. Being a person with a fair amount invested in Festool in general, I was quite...
If you want to de-wax your shellac it will look like this when ready. . .

Jeff,
I must have about 12 Starett squares each one dear to my heart. My comment came from the last time I held a Starett "digital calipers" in my hand, alas it was made in China. . .:(
You might also want to check where your proposed Starrett square is being made, that might have some impact on your decision as well.
I had the chance to with with that saw for about a month and it was an absolute pleasure to use. :D
Philip,
If what you've measured is accurate then an other answer might be that the back end of the out-feed table is high, or both the in-feed and out feed tables are high at their ends away from...
Philip,
I too am a fan of making your own tables if you can. My most resent one is made from 1" MDF and uses the Porter Cable 894PK Router with its built-in lift. Works really well, quick and easy...
Philip,
A simple question might be how do you know the joiner is setup properly?
Since you say this only happens on the edges, one thing that comes to mind is that the knifes closer to the...
There are alternative programs to Cutlist that are free. One is Sketchup with a ruby add-on for doing cutlists and the other would be ecabinets.

Mike you might what to make your calculations in board feet as opposed to square feet. Since you will be making your own doors and drawer fronts buying 4/4 rough stock is the best way to go in my...
Manufactures in general say just about anything to CTA, I like the one that says use of one of their products can cause "sudden death"???
Yet everyday millions of people use it :D
Good luck...
Shawn,
I’m one of the few remaining who saying, go ahead and use that waxed shellac as your wash coat. In 28 years now of finishing I’ve never once had a polyurethane or waterborne finish...
