Very nice Sid. The concave area on the base looks like a good place to put some earrings. I'm sure these will be cherished gifts.
I keep my DNA in my unheated pole barn garage. In the dead of winter, the water in the DNA turns slushy. I skim the slush off and assume that my DNA to water ratio has improved.
Excellent wood combination. The form and finish is outstanding. I sure am glad that you're still with us. I'll appreciate each of your postings even more now. Great job!!
I'm with David D., when I saw the header I thought that there was more good news about John's turnings. What a shocker. I'm glad your on the mend John. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your...
A true test of character is..." Do you do the right thing when nobody is watching?". You did. I'm proud of you too. Your story gave my day the little boost that it needed. Thanks.
Bernie,
Your birdhouses are beautiful. Your extra touches (shingles and texturing) make these truly outstanding. Congratulations on your sales success, you deserve it.

I think a SuperNova2 is a great chuck for that lathe. Actually any of the Technatool line would work well. A while back someone had a posting about Technatool selling reconditioned chucks. I just...

James,
Great variety. I like all of them but the first one with the spalted roof is my favorite. Nice job.
Jim
Congrats. I've turned on one of those.....you're going to LOVE it!!
Nice haul. I'm jealous. Other than the Claro, what did you get?
Ed,
My first lathe was a shop built with 1 1/2 x 8 threads. The chuck that came with it was a Nova without an insert. Maybe 1 1/2 x 8 is the standard without an insert?? By the way, I have a donut...
I'm in. Thanks for organizing this.
If this is a go, I'd like to get in on it too.
I think you did an excellent job of matching the pair. I really like the spalting the last one. Good job.
Nice box and a great inlay. I'm holding my breath hoping that is doesn't crack. When I saw that you replied to your posting I thought it was bad news. I'm glad it's still intact.
Jim
Very nice. Excellent job on the progression of the bead sizes.
I like the original but I love yours. The colors are fantastic.
Beautiful set. I have some walnut that I have been thinking of turning into a salad set. You've inspired me to get the project started.
Thanks.
I can't comment on the 715 but I recently turned on a 460 and it's a fantastic machine.
