The niblers won't cut very well across a panel. They cut fine with the ribs. The best way to cut panels is a plasma cutter if you can get your hands on one.

I have some cheap (HF) flush trim bits. I want to get a good Whiteside bit. The first job will be trimming sold wood edges glued to 3/4 plywood.

I won't be cutting out using a template. I will just be trimming laminate flush and solid wood edging on the edge of plywood. I would prefer a 1/2 shank bit.

So if I am gonna buy one 1/2" shaft flush trim bit what size should I get?

I talled to the folks a Forrest and they told me they replace carbide teeth at about five bucks a pop plus the cost of sharpening. I didn't ask if they did other brand blades.

I did some foolin' around with the MDF makin' boxes and was surprised how much I didn't know. Found a website that covered using screws in MDF and took it to heart.

I did a search on the UHMW and it turns out Peach Tree has it in 3/4" wide strips designed to be use in miter slots that ain't too expensive.
