I have a 1964 dewalt 12" radial arm saw that finally died on my last week. it was a 120v and the square top green model. Wolfe machinery wants $376 to rebuild the motor so I'm looking for a...
wow.. very very cool. Have you ever made one out of walnut? I'm curious what kind of tone you got.
again.. nice job!
Mark.
absolutely Jim. I've removed a few slabs that way. Cut the slab in 4 x 4 sections with a walk behind saw. The forks make it easy to pick up and put in truck. Literally only takes minutes once cut....
that starboard is good stuff. I use it on my boats and we also use it quite a bit at work. Nice product.... We are paying $180 for a 4x8 of 3/4" so you did well.
Mark.
The main reason we decided on a pole barn was due to the savings in both wood and concrete. In Ohio (2006 code), anything over 400 square feet required a footer so floating slab isn't allowed on this...
yes.. it was designed by someone 25 years in the trade and 14 years as foreman.
pole barn so no studs but there is 2 x 4 bracing. here's the last one we put up to show the difference in framing.

Wouldn't that be the same on a standard build garage then? Which it isn't required for in this city.
thanks for the input David. yes.. I will be using 6 x 6 post set 38" in concrete. I'd rather build in increments of 10' for the spacing of the posts but the lot size won't work with those dimensions....
Looking for a bit of input from those here on a pole building. Last year I built a 1200 square foot barn/garage at my place which is use for both shop and truck storage. For the exterior walls I used...
Don't use 3" screws to attach the hasp.:D
breakers are about 4 bucks a piece so get rid of those 25's . Just buy some 20a breakers and run 12/2 wire. simple.
I'm curious what the value might be of this unit. Considering buying it from my work.
details.
lesson motor 230v single phase
very good condition but has been sitting in shop for the last 15...
it's actually "smart side" osb stuff, not quite 7/16" thick. T 1-11 is usually a true ply.
I have a shop close to your size (32 x 38). I have a 80,000 BTU furnace with no insulation at all, yet. I live in NE Ohio but don't use my shop every day so it hasn't been a priority. The...
boy isn't that the truth!!
very nice deal for sure!!!!
I'd rather use a jigsaw than a craftsman RAS.. probably get a straighter cut too.
buy quality and you'll never regret it.
Personally I use the belt sander a lot. Much of it is on solid surface and laminate counters. Still use it quite a bit on solid wood projects. Takes down planer and joiner marks in an instant, and...
This will be a spring time purchase since that's when are captial budgets gets approved. I put in for $5,600 so if there is extra left over we can pick up some batteries for our cordless drills or...
Looking to replace a planer here at work with a 20". I was looking into the powermatic 5HP. Just curious the thoughts here on what planer you might recommend.
thanks, Mark.
teak first but very pricy... or mahogany, redwood if you have adaquate support.
I thought so too walt. I considered cutting out the sap and in the end thought it would give it more character.
thanks.
Mark.
thanks John... I ended up using a wipe on oil finish but it had a uerethene in it also. Took a few coats to build up but gaveme the color I was looking for with a nice sheen.
