beware of foam - foamcore usually has PVC and styrofoam flames up like crazy.
Fun foam is good if you are looking for a soft foam.
Depron is great (and laser safe) if you want a rigid foam.

If you have the time to wash and dry the wood, use murphy's oil soap, a scrubber sponge and warm water.
