WELL DONE!! Looks like it was worth all the hard effort. What's next?
Todd, I planned for the 3rd slide figuring it would help keep things aligned etc. It probably is not absolutely needed but it sure adds to the stability of the drawer. Now that I think about it a...
Here are a few shots of my latest project -- an entertainment center to house my 30" widescreen HDTV, Directv DVR receiver, VCR and DVD player. It's made from red oak and red oak ply and finished...
John, I had a "Mini" before I got my Festool and used a generic "medium 3-5gal" bag I got at the depot. I think they were Genie or something like that. They worked just fine. HTH
Thanks John, I'm considering that very addition to my green collection as we "speak". Let us know how you like(love!) it when you get a chance to put it through its paces.
John, check out Coastal Tool (coastaltool.com) and Flexeel hoses. They are very light and very flexible. I really like using these as compared to the "standard" type. HTH
Are there any accepted standards for the amount of clearance for inset doors in a cabinet. I'll be mounting them with Blum hinges if this is a factor. Thanks for your help.
What glue do you use to glue rare earth magnets in place? I'm thinking CA or epoxy. Thanks
I need to mention that I will be gluing the magnets to red oak.
Well done Bob! The finish looks superb.
I'm in need of an inexpensive hot melt glue gun for an ongoing project and have no knowledge of them. Would appreciate any recommendations and or suggestions. This would not see a lot of use. Are the...
BTDT. It works reasonably well. Still get a bit of dust buildup on lower gudes. It was worth the effort.
These arrived today. A Veritas Low Angle Block and a #4 Smoother. They sure are pretty, now just need to figure out how to get power to them!
Thanks for the review Terry. I have one on order and should receive it this week.
I use "turners" tape that I get at Woodcraft. It's super strong and doesn't take much to do the job.
Good Score!! That shop of yours must be filling up pretty quickly.
p.s. how's the sprayer?
What do you guys and gals use for cleaning band saw tires? I'm trying to get my blades to run smoothly (14" Jet with riser) and noticed some pitch build-up on the tires.

John I used 2 pieces of 3/4 MDF laminated together woith solvent contact cement then put formica on both sides. This was 4 yrs ago and I've had a Woodpeckers PRK and PC7518 hanging from it since. NO...
John, I meant to mention it in the review. I tried several angle cuts and found they were accuate as expected. Festool does provide an adjustment on the Angle Stop if they are slightly off. Tried the...
Over the holidays a Festool MultiFunction Table 1080 made it's way into my shop. This is a great tool!
My shop is very small and having the MFT has allowed me to perform crosscuts on large/long...
How do you folks store your miter guage(s) when they are not being used? I have one with a long(36") that drives me bananas, constanly having to move it out of the way of something. Any ideas/photos...
Keith, what kind of delivery time frame are we looking at?
Thanks Dick. That's just what I did and it now works like a charm.
Thanks Keith and Henry! I doubt I'd be able to beat this price at a WW show. Thanks again.
