I am trying to disassemble a cherry dining room chair in an attempt to refurbish it. It has several loose joints which need work as well. My question concerns the button plugs which cover several...
I believe it's #1 Common.
I am wondering what some of the SMC members are paying for rough cut/dry red oak lumber in their respective markets. The best price I've found locally (Central Kentucky) is 1.66/bf.

I am about to complete a series of projects that will furnish my master bedroom (queen size bed w/head and foot board, dresser and mirror, night stand, armoire, quilt rack and console). Each piece...
Thanks to everyone for your helpful insights regarding SketchUp. I've learned that use and experience are probably the best teachers.

I'm not familiar with a "drawer Lock cutter". Where can I see one?
I have a good friend who just purchased a Grizzly cabinet model and is very pleased with it. I can not recall the model number, but I've seen the saw and was very impressed!
I typically construct drawers with dovetail joints using my Porter Cable jig; but I recently saw a small piece in Woodsmith Magazine which talked about how easy and accurate the Locking Miter bit was...
My wife gave me a Case XX 3-bladed, bone handle pocket knife years and years ago for Christmas. I've carried it ever since. There are better knives to be sure, but this one has been in my pocket...
A friend recently suggested I take a look at the Sawmill Creek site and I must say I am very impressed with the scope and breadth of the forums and comments from so many woodworkers. I'm greatful for...
