Ted, I didn't show this, but I'm actually also thinking about putting a 4" port to connect to my dust collector down in that area. Heck, I might even just scrap the entire design I have shown and...

I have a homemade overhead air cleaner and I don't really like it. I'm not a fan of pulling the dust up into the air past my face and then having an exhaust port blowing the rest of the dusty air...
That is mainly what I'd be using it for.
I'm working through my design of a downdraft sanding table and have a couple of ideas I'd like to bounce off all of you smart people.
I'm trying to create a "catch" for dust in a downdraft...
Lee, thanks for the advice, much appreciated. It has been a few weeks since I planed the boards, so I don't think they will flatten out on their own, but it is possible since they are in my very dry...
I'm making some drawer fronts with some inset hickory panels. After I planed them to 1/2" thick, they warped and will no longer sit flat in the drawer front frame. The only idea I can come up with...
Jim, that's a great idea! Why didn't I think of that?! I like it because I won't have to worry about any paint bleeding under the tape.
Has anyone had any experience building and finishing a cabinet door/drawer front with painted frame and a stained wood panel? I'm wondering how I would go about doing this.

Update - I took the entire motor off the table saw, took it apart and cleaned and blew it all out. There was some dust in the motor, but not a lot. I also inspected the centrifugal switch and found...
So I was able to check the capacitance of the capacitors. The 25mf capacitor read 23.3mf and the 200mf capacitor read 236mf. Looks like I'll be searching for a different solution. I'll have to check...
Rod, where is the centrifugal switch located? I'm not seeing that on the diagram. Would that be located in the Mag Switch Assembly?

Dan, I tested it with the polarity flipped several times and would get the same results either way. I found out that we have a capacitor tester at work so I'll be taking that home tonight to test...
Chris, unfortunately I don't live in or near a major city. Not sure if I have any motor repair shops close.

Dan, I set my analog multimeter to 1k ohms and tested. The start capacitor jumped to near 0 ohms and went back to infinity. The run capacitor did move the needle somewhat indicating some resistance...
After some testing with a multimeter, I believe it is the run capacitor that is bad. I've decided to replace both capacitors, but Grizzly wants $45 for the run capacitor and $30 for the start...
Thanks again for the help. Can someone walk me through how to check a capacitor and what I'm supposed to be looking for. Is this done when the motor is powered up or off? By the way I'm fairly...
Update - after cleaning out my dust collector, which was so full that I got about another 1/3 of a bag full of dust sucked up from what fell out of the plump full bag and dropped out of the canister,...
Thanks for the responses guys. I'm going to go and check a couple of the things you have suggested. Unfortunately, I don't have any way of checking the amperage. Hopefully I'll be able to figure...
Today after ripping through 6 sheets of 3/4" plywood for cabinets, my Grizzly GO691 table saw motor is having some issues. I started it up to make my last cut, and it turned very slow and made some...
Prashun, I agree with you that my problem was caused by the generator somehow, and that it will happen again if I replace the switch.
UPDATE
I checked all of the extension cords and all are properly wired to their respective plugs. The Honda Generator is a 6500 Watt with Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator.
Larry, thanks for the explanation. That's what I was looking for. I looked into the on/off switch portion of the magnetic switch. I can buy it online for $1.88. So, I do have options and this may...
The garage that I'm running my saw in is at least 200 feet from the nearest good power source (house). The gentleman that originally built the garage had no intention of running anything with...
I'm not convinced that I'll burn up anything.
John, do you agree that it is only the on/off switch that is bad? I just can't imagine that the entire mag switch is faulty if it works by pushing the blue bar.
