If possible, I'd think seriously about pouring concrete down there and creating yourself a nice solid floor to stand on and use. You will tear up that vapor barrier over time walking on it.

Hmm... I also see a SNAPTOGGLE heavy duty toggle bolt option by Toggler. i just don't want the unit to pull away from the wall & don't want to degrade the integrity of the cinderblock either. I...
Hello, Everyone
I have a crawlspace area under the house deep enough for me to stand & was thinking about turning it into a general workshop area & storage. the foundation is cinder block. I...
does anyone have plans for a toddler bed (for a girl or unisex)? can anyone recommend plans for a toddler bed?
Does anyone know how to make a cheap router lift or does anyone know where I could get an inexpensive lift under $100? I've seen a link on the web by a guy that made one with parts from Lowes, but...
i have a table saw (not a cabinet saw), a router, & a RO sander... not much, but i still want to keep the area clean for the most part. like i said, it is literally a shed i'm working in right now &...
well, that sucks. i'm not worried about the sound, but i was hoping the suction might be comparable to a dust collection system; those systems are quite pricey.
i have a small shop (pretty much a shed) & was thinking i could use a shop vac for dust collection. will that work? should i be looking for a particular standard as far as capacity or power?

has anyone out there used the router bits made by Grizzly?
i definitely plan on building a table & have already researched several plans. i agree that the router table is almost a necessity. i have to build my workshop as funds are available. =-)
i'm...
nope. i have no router table & i'm only trying to roundover one side. like i said, i've very new to woodworking & especially routing. while practicing on scrap, the best i did still had a little...
starting pin? don't think i've seen one of those. is this attached to the router? the surface your stock is clamped to?
Yeah, I guess that's what I really need help on; setting the depth of the router to have a smooth rounded edge.on the facade. There's also an edge on the bottom of the cut. Can I get rid of that by...
Hey, guys
I have recently started playing with my woodworking tools I got for various special occasions & I am building some drawers. I need some help rounding off the drawer faces. I want to...
does anyone have woodworking plans for a table insert that you could attach to a jigsaw sow that you could use it sort of like a scroll saw?
Definitely food for thought. I don't have a timeline on this & I figure that instead of plunking down a chunk of change for a new/used boat, I could pay as I build & get the boat that I want by...
I am also always cruising e-bay motors & craigslist for used & inexpensive boats/hulls. I don't know if it would be easier to rehab than to build, though. Sounds like there are pro's & con's to...
Actually, I had been looking at the FS17 as well. Looks like no one has built one or at least, no one has submitted pics of their own on their site. It looks like it would use the same amt of wood...
well, i've narrowed it down to 2 designs from bateau.com. it will either be the FS14 or the OB15. i'd like to eventually build a 17'-23' boat, but given the fact that i have a 6 yr old, a 1 yr old,...
Can You Build The Boats Outside Or Do You Need More Climate Control Than Just A Tarp To Keep It From Getting Rained On?

These boats need to be maintained, fresh paint every few years, fix any scratches in epoxy coatings, etc.

Robert,
do they really need to be maintained...
wow. i didn't realize their boats needed that kind of maintanence; even with quality materials. you have to paint it every few years? do you just paint over the old paint + any crack/abrasion...
were the plans you got from bateau.com already lofted?
