Not sure if I can get a bottle jack under the short side stretchers, don't think I have the clearance. Perhaps a low profile floor jack could do it but I don't want to buy a tool for a one time job...

Hi everyone, looking to make some layout adjustments to my workshop which requires moving my workbench. Any good ideas on how to best tackle moving a roubo?
I just use tea lights, pull the wicks out and they're good to go.
Hey Andrew, good find! I missed that section, I'll shoot them an email to see what they have to say.
Hello, looking for a bit of advice on knife pivot hinges (krenov style?). I'm planning on using them as part of a tool cabinet build but I'm concerned about sag and weight limits. Neither brusso or...
I think you're probably dead on at 40lbs. I don't mind the weight since I bring it up relatively infrequently.
Mine lives under my bench, where it's accumulating a layer of dust, shavings and offcuts. 445020
Did LN discontinue this plane? Not seeing it listed on their website...
Hi Charles, I had the same concern when building my roubo. There was something about having a portion of the board unsupported while planing which didn't sit right with me. I can tell you in actual...
Stu, if you're reading this, thank you!
Are you sure the mix ratio was supposed to be 1:1? I recently used the ecopoxy liquid plastic product and the ratio I used was 2:1. I believe at some point they changed their guidance on the ratio...
Great tip Edwin, thanks for sharing. If one were to by a 2nd blade for 8/4 hardwoods, would your recommend the 28 or 14 tooth?
Has anyone tried Furniture and Cabinetmaking? It's a UK mag which focuses on fine furniture making.
Honestly, it's just because working out ducting is a headache and I'm starting to loath doing it. A few hours searching for sewer drain pipe was a waste of time, another few hours looking into 24g...
Hi Glen, I know it's verboten around these parts but I'm going to use smooth bore flex hose to create the sweeps. I feel they'll be very comparable to the double 45 method.
Thanks guys, picking up material today and should have this sorted by the end of the weekend.
@Stevo, I though about it but i'd lose headroom as it's a basement shop.
Hi All,
Looking for a little advice on ducting diameter. My DC is a laguna P|flux2 which should be rated for 2hp, the impeller is 14.5". I'm planning on running a 6" main line across the left...
I own a full set and all of them are perfect, no notable defects. Early on I did have an issue with the no.3 and no.4. For the no.3 they had included the wrong chipbreaker and adjustment knob, which...
I use a one-way multigauge with a dial indicator, but you could rig up something similar out of wood if you have an indicator kicking around....
I'll take the bait. What's wrong with Harvey Industries?
Nice find, this is great news!
Are you sure you want a combo j/p machine? I'd go with separates if you're putting together a student workshop. If someone's using the machine for planing, then they're also tying up the jointer......
Good call, that's an option.
They don't sell bandsaw's and there are exclusions for use on sawstops and festool.
Fellas, looking for a little straight talk on dust collection piping. I know that solid smooth bore piping with a minimum diameter of 6" is preferred but how much would I really be giving up by going...
