Thanks to all for the pointers. I have anchersealed and placed in the dry to cure. Yes, will limp along a while longer with my "old" 12" lathe :( but I have always like the bigger "toys" better!

Bob I used pure tung oil, starting with 40% oil and move up to 85 to 90% over about a weeks time. I really do not know how many coats I applied.
