I don't have that model. Sanders typically have a rubber "brake" that rubs on the pad. Slows pad down when it is off the workpiece so it does not gouge as to engage it. Is yours worn? or did you for...
I have always used urethane tires. Life is 1-4 years.
I bought a spare set (blue) for my 14" saw and it cracked up on the shelf. So blade tension was not the issue for me.
I have found that...
It is metal on my planer. If the board is narrow enough and you are taking a heavy cut use the space to the left or right of the depth limiter.

Congrats on new saw.

Tires are available on amazon. I got Sulphur Grove from there.
Tires are also available from grizzly.

Try blowing out the saw with compressed air to see if plugged

Check for power after switch.
+1 on capacitor. Should be an easy and cheap fix.

Not sure how your planer is made. Capacitors are normally accessible under small covers screwed to motor. You just have to unscrew the covers to check them. May not need to pull motor. Consider...
Two broke with me so far. Think they will all break eventually. They outlast regular blades so guess fatigue sets in eventually.
Where did you order from? What size was it?

+1 on capacitor.
Check for bulges if you don't have a tester.
Should be an easy fix.

I have used blue and orange tires on my 19" grizzly. Think orange tire supplier name was Sulphur Grove. These tires apparantly lose tension over time. I have have had tires from grizzly fail in a...

Melamine mdf is for carcasses only so they don't need paint. Solid wood for face frames and doors. For undersink cabinets I have been using PVC board.
MK
I have used 5/8 white Melamine for most of my carcasses. Strong enough I think. Light color keeps interiors fairly bright.
