If your table is cast iron, I agree that a jig utilizing Magswitch magnets make sense. If not cast iron, then an aux table with a T slot seems next best.

You might try Harbor Freight. I use their blue tape and feel the price/quality tradeoff is about right.

I use one. The blades do sometimes want to shift up. I use a feeler gauge between the outfeed table and the jig to spot this problem, then re-align the blade and carefully snug the screws again.
Another vote for the free Sketchup. In my opinion it's a full featured software that is intuitive enough so that the learning curve is relatively short.
