I have the Oneway system and like it. simple to use like others have said.

I vote for the elbo tool. I have a Elbo tool with the laser and love it. I would recommed getting the laser. Keeps you from making a vase with two holes.

Yes I have read that here on this site and it sounds logical.
I have a couple of Sorby fingernail gring bowl gouges and love them. I do from time to time have them grab. I have found most times I get in a hurry and don't properly present the tool to the wood....

I have done it both ways. If I don't have time to deal with the logs I seal the ends with a waxy endsealer like anchorseal or something simular. Then later I can cut it up into proper turning blanks....
