Simple Green or Dawn work great. A lot of elbow grease with a good stiff brush. Lay it down and let it sink in a bit then scrup with hot water. Repeat until yor arm locks up.
I am looking at getting a lathe for the shop and the total cost of everything needed has restricted me for a while.
What are your opinions of the Grizzly G0462 Lathe? Doses anyone have one?
I...

They have several plans and the basic setup of the spline...
I got this today from an old friend. I never tire of these.
1. Dear God,
Please put another holiday between Christmas and Easter. There is nothing good in there now.

2. Dear God, ...
Quite a dilemma. All things being unequal I would go with upgrading the DC system. Larger ducts and machine, if possible. It sounds like you have a great TS now. If you upgrade the TS or the Joiner...
Here are a couple of photos of what I did with my sander. It's not pretty but it works.

I have attached a poor photo of the setup I used for my sander. I will take some better photos tonight.
Basically what I did was install a 4" Y connection and reduced the 2 ports to 2" and connected...
Most of the store bought tables are made with 1" MDF. I went to a local cabinet shop and they sold me enough to make the top I wanted. It was high quality and didn't need to be layered. It's hard to...
This explains why we forward jokes.
A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.
He remembered dying, and...
I highly recommend the videos. They show how it's done and take a lot of guessing out of it. Well worth the dollars.
Bob,
For out of the box simplicity I would choose the FESTOOL. There was a lot of information I had to dig for on the EZ guide system. They are slightly apples and oranges due to the fact that you...
I needed a tool for cutting sheet goods and have been looking at the Festool guide system and the EZ Smart Guide system. Last Friday I ordered the EZ Smart Guide system. The price was the tie breaker...
The work station consists of a 1023 Left Tilt cabinet saw with a 50" side table and a 36" outfeed table. The outfeed table is also a storage cabinet. There is an additional set of drawers under the...
Jason,
Here is what I have on both of my router tables. I have a duplex box with a single switch and a duplex outlet. I have connected a 10' male ended power cord into the box and through the...
Barry,
Here is a pic of my outfeed table. It' a Danny Proulx design and I used laminate from Home Depot for the top. They have it in 4'x8' and 2'x4' pieces. It's in the back of the stores by the...
This is a tough time of year for wood. What was the moisture content at the Mill? A week in your shop probably wasn't enough during the winter. Is your shop heated or does the temp fluctuate? Also,...
Well we had lots of snow on Sunday so I was stuck in the shop for most of the day. I'm finishing up a set of 12 drawers for the long bench in the shop. I also modified one of my roll around benches...
Jim,
Using my workbench was my first choice, but I also wanted to be able to roll things outside, when possible. I like the idea of using the bench dog holes. I only have one row running lengthwise...
I just checked UPS and the guide should be delivered today. I shpuld have the new saw in a few days and can get things going. I only notched the crossmembers to allow them to slide on the long...
I have been looking into purchasing either the EZ Smart Guide system or the Festool Plunge saw and guide. Both seem to offer the ability to cut sheet goods quite accurately. I ended up ordering the...
The 3000 PSI mix should be all that you need for this application, but as mentioned if the 4000 is not a cost breaker go for it. As an engineer my concern 2 fold. With the temps low keep it dry and...
Jim,
The drawers arn't too wide the cabinet is just 1" too narrow. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's done that. I'm sure that you can find a bench that needs a drawer. :D
I like your method. It's precise. This is where the folks that have INCRA fences on their table saws have a real advantage. Set the cut and keep advancing the fence and locking it in 1/4" increments....
