I ordered a 1/2" 105"Carter resaw blade from Amazon to fill out an order. It's not as smooth as my Woodslicer, but did OK. It was also $20 vs. $30 plus shipping for the Woodslicer.

I bought one of these about a year ago from Woodcraft for $250 on sale. Like others have said here, it's OK for hobbyist use, but kind of fussy to set up compared to the (much) more expensive...
I bought that book a few years ago. Tons of invaluable material on the subject, but, to be honest, it puts me to sleep every time.
I confess I'm also a tool addict. There's hardly a single item from Woodpeckers & Incra that I don't already own. Lee Valley calls me by my first name. I have more shop tools than room to use...
Like probably a lot of others in this mental illness/er/hobby, I started accumulating tools & equipment (for my garage shop) under the guise of remodeling my kitchen & saving tons of money. My house...
I've had the Bosch cordless for a year and a half, as well as the other 12v Litheon tools. I use the tool fairly often for small trimming & cutting jobs and haven't found the limited run time a...
I've seen a couple of 'shootouts' between different glues, and polyurethane did not fare well compared to PVA glues in wood joinery. Glueing dissimilar materials is poly's forte, but personally I...
I went to one in Sacramento a few years ago, and came away feeling like a "chump" after spending $10 to get in and $5 for parking. Like someone else said here, it was nothing more than a "tent sale"...
I retired one month ago, after 30 years of tool collecting and intermittent woodworking. I'm proud to say that I've spent every day for the last 3 weeks in my shop, and I've turned out a pretty...
A 22/44 Performax (now Jet) Drum sander. Just can't justify the cost:(
I have a Delta branded sander just about like the one you're talking about, and I'd hazard a guess that it's made in the same factory in China as most of the tools like it, but branded Delta,...
I use my 24" and 36" K-Bodies the most. Can't beat 'em.
Yeah, me too. Wait a minute...how much for that refurbed Bosch...man, I can't pass that up:rolleyes:
Unless the Delta is heavily discounted, that $830 price puts it in the same territory as the Powermatic, which has variable speed lever and digital speed readout.
I've had that router for a couple of years, and have mixed feelings about it. On the plus side, the soft-start motor is very pleasant to operate, the power cord is nice and long, and the bases &...
FWIW, I just compared the Ridgid with the new Porter-Cable/Delta stand (at Lowe's), and consider the PC by far superior. They're pretty much the same price, too.
I've got 2 of the Grip-Tites - they work well, but I think the MagSwitch's are superior. If they'd have been out first, I would have gone for them.
I've got a Delta 46-700 that I'm taking out of storage, but need to make a stand for it. Forgive me if this has been asked before, but a search didn't turn up any info. Anyone out there know where...
My closest Woodcraft (Sacramento) is terrific; they're the best-stocked WC I've seen and the staff is always helpful and friendly. I've been to several other WC and Rockler stores, but the Sac....
