I use Corel Draw X7 with Lasercut 5.3.
I usually Print to the Lasercut printer instead of importing. I find its just easier and works very well.
I also use Adobe Illustrator for some things...
Youtube is your friend..
I have watched some really good videos on how to use the TAP acrylic cement to get bubble free bond that is stronger than the acrylic itself.. Its my understanding that...
I imported a G. Weike in Edmonton about 4 months ago... I'm very happy with the laser. It has performed above my expectations..
I have a G.Weike with Lasercut software.. I just assumed the Shenhui used the same software..
If so, the Scangap can be found in the same location where you set the power and speed. Anything over...
Hhmm that doesn't sound right.. Sounds like you are not focused correctly..
Also have to adjusted the SCAN GAP in Lasercut? I find is should be 0.055 to get nice crisp engraves..
I made some custom foam inserts for myself out of "Tile Foam" you find at Walmart. Its about 3/4" thick and comes in multiple colors. Its sold in interlocking squares and used to soften a concrete...
Hhmm try this... Focus the laser closer.. Maybe %40 closer (not quite half).. Does it cut better when you do that?
I'm thinking you might have installed the lens backwards when you took it out and...
I have a very similar laser from G. Weike and have experienced some similar result. Here are my suggestions.
1. Your table is no longer level to the laser head. This is why the laser seems to work...
When I started out I used this as a starting point (I have the same tube). It was fabulous as a starting point, but not one of my settings match this table now..

I make plane and quadcopter parts out of Aircraft ply or Baltic birch.. Both and magnitudes stronger than MDF and easy to cut with my laser. They also stand up to water much better (just not...
Hhmm sounds to me like something may have been wrong. I've been engraving anodized tags as well as guns (yes guns) with my G. Weike 80W and the quality is fantastic... I'm wondering if they didn't...
Recent experience has taught me that air assist MUST BE OFF for Cermark.. The color comes out kinda grey with your air assist on, but nice and black with air assist off..
I'm still a newbie... but I found that the right setting makes a huge difference in the residual stink (at least for wood). I would recommend you play with your settings and see if that makes a...
Even though we own an import business, I let G.Weike arrange the forwarder (to a local warehouse). I then arranged the brokerage using our brokerage company. The extra shipping expenses (not...
Although Rich is correct (yes as similar thing happened to our company), those are fairly rare occurrences (at least here in Canada). That is also one of the reasons that companies like Rabbit lasers...
Does anyone have any experience with leveling a table on a Gwieke laser. I noticed that my laser is not cutting all the way through some stock at one corner of the table. When I look, I can clearly...
Thanks for the kind words... its not commercial quality but pretty damn good for 2 hours of experience..
Also thanks for the advice on acrylic.. We have a Johnston Plastics locally so that is...
Well I recently got my G. Weike laser but have not had time to set it up until this weekend. It took about 2 hours to level the machine and align the lasers. I think the Brits call it "fiddly bits".....
You could also look at importing from China.. Probably cheaper then even a second hand US built unit..I just imported a Gwieke into Edmonton, AB.. Let me know if you have questions...
As to customs.. I'm guessing the USA is like Canada. Up here, you need a broker or you will get caught in a nightmare of paperwork and delays.. So I would add the cost of a broker to your total...
Yup as a business owner it always amazes me when people balk at a markup... Everybody forgets, that not only does the person/business have to pay expenses, but the business has to make sense. If they...
Search this as well.. Great info for you..
"redsail laser import la"
It also appears that I violated the rules of the forum by posting a link to another forum (most moronic/pointless rule I have ever heard of). They removed the link making my post look incomplete.

I'm sorry I'm not an expert on USA importation as I'm Canadian (I own a Canadian import company).. The $1000 - $2000 that I threw out was based on many other posts I have read (dating back to 2005)....
