I agree, the site is terrible. It's clunky, the menus come and go. The help chat constantly pops up, up down up down.... Navigation is not intuitive. Info on the products is not as extensive as...
I believe the block plane was my first purchase. It gets used all the time. Chamfering, end grain, quick this and that. I have been surprised how often I reach for it.
A thought... A friend of mine was using a hammer, striking another metal object, not a nail, and a flake of the struck object about the size of your pinky finger nail came off and went straight...
Jim. Do you find the 6" to work well? I've been looking at the Starrett, but can't decide on 3" or 6". Currently using some generic 12" things.
I think John nailed it. And maybe some really fine saw dust on the floor is adding to it. A waxy floor is generally tacky, unless you are in sock feet, or leather soled shoes.
The Mk II jig is great. It makes honing soooo much easier.
I think it boils down to personal preference of what a guy/gal likes to work with.... Or...

Wipe your tools after use w/ an oily rag, camellia, or other subtible oil. In my experince, the johnson paste wax approach has failed. I once cleaned a metal surface w/ a solvent to remove oils,...
You could probably figure the percentage difference between a #4 iron and #4 bronze. Take a percentage difference between the #4 iron and #4-1/2 iron, and extrapulate what a bronze 4-1/2 should be. ...
One other thought is whether the saw is brested or not. I don't know about LN. I do have a Wenzloff Kenyon CC, and it is breasted. I like the Wenzloff. However, I don't have another "quality"...
That's just great... 3 other saws to add to the which-one-do-I-buy-list... And it looks like Wenzloff is adding more than just these 3 to his lineup...
Hmmmm... I need to find things around...
You can get a basic bench up and functional pretty cheap.
Buy a maple bench top from Grizzly, about $275 for a 72"x30"x2.25". (Other sizes are avalaible). Or another source of your choosing. ...

I would not get elaborate for the first...
Thanks for the quick responses and setting me straight.
geezzz... how many times have I thumbed through the LN catalog, and never seen that one! Too funny.
There is an item on ebay, as a L-N plane. Only one pic and no info. Odd looking plane. I was curious if anyone knows what it is?

That is a good signature line quote!!!:D
Place the stone on a piece of plywood or similar device, then screw in a stop and let the stone rest against the stop.. I covered my plywood w/ a piece of plastic to deal w/ the water.
I have a 10 year old or so Bailey, had similar problem, factory iron and chip breaker though. Adjusting the frog so it sat more on the correct plane fixed/reduced the problem. Not sure if it was...
What is the brand name/model of the vice? Maybe find a manual on the net?
Man that is one small plane. You don't realize how small until you go the plane link and see it in the hand. WOW...
Here is another link that talks about the surface vice:

Interesting signature line Dennis,
"Measure twice, and cut--WAIT!-- better measure again then cut once, twice or whatever it takes to fit.:) "
With a hand tool, you measure twice, cut once...
Just search for leather stores in your town. I think I saw a Tandy leather in Cincinnati.
