The static issue was with a circuit board inside the vac.
I have the oneida one made for the Festool vacs when it was not anti static I got small shocks only
when sanding. Oneida sent a kit to fix...

I found mine off a craigs list add, it was a place that bought shelving, racking, pallet jacks, and just about anything a business would have. You are right the narrow ones are harder to come by.

Felder makes some adapters for the 120mm fitting, one for sure is 120 to 4 inch. Can't remember the rest, check the catalog for sure.

I use my rotex for the lower grits, my rotex has a 5mm swirl, then use my its 150 with a 3mm swirl. For a really smooth surface.

I believe the slider should toe out from blade a .001 or so. Since you have a shaper too it is more important not to have too much toe out.

I think you need to figure out something that uses all your scrap left over from other projects. That can be made with little time and goods(sand paper, finish, ect.).

If I remember there was a problem with dust getting in the remote switch and needing blown out on occasion. Some people were putting a ziploc bag over switch to keep dust out.

I have had this problem also, think it is after mineral oil different woods soak it up at different rates and swell slightly( thousand ) was smooth to feel before oil. I sand again after oil smooths...

Get the ripping blade for ripping hardwood makes more difference the thicker the wood.
