I have a Griz 17 and my son has a Laguna 14. His is definitely the easier saw to change blades on. If I were going to buy a saw today I would take the new Laguna over my Gizzly 17.
I have the Oneida...
Hope the new show is a success. Looking at the FW blurb it will be a furniture building show. What I miss with Norm is the variety he had. He did carpentry projects (garden gate, pergola, shed,...
SPAX screws are great and most are square drive. They are stocked in quite a few sizes at my orange BORG.
I, too have the Delta. Got it about 2 years ago. Except that the light goes on occasionally by itself when you turn the drill press on I have had no problems. Strong and well-built.

That is what that saw is all about (besides being a fine saw in it's own right). Glad you had it.
Matt,
I have planned since I got my saw over a year ago to build a rolling cabinet for the very saw you have. I have the mobile base. The space available is 30 1/8 inches tall and 21 inches wide...
Kevin, I made my own up using PVC pipe, some flex hose, and a Y fitting for my dust collector. You do need some way to gather the dust coming off the back of the blade shroud. You have to fuss a bit...
I have a Bosch Colt that I purchased the dust collector attachments for and use with my Festool vac. It works great. It is not a plunger, but I'd imagine any of the top brands would perform well if...
Came in an installer's kit with the router when I bought it, but it is available separately.
Never had to do it, but my Bosch Colt has a tilt base as an option. If the angle you are cutting remains the same that could be he way to go.
Great price.
Before you set it up do as the book says and cut a plywood base to attach it to (unless you plan to bolt it to the floor). It is Top Heavy! Great drill press.
I don't chime in here often, but these are great blades. Got my first one from Peachtree direct then just got three more via Amazon (they don't list them on their site since a blowout sale a couple...
I have, too. Stay sharp, cut clean. Not cheap, but for me they are worth it.
Norm certainly seemed to be drawn to antiques made out of pine in the early years. He had Irish pine, English pine, and Nantucket pine, and probably some others I don't recall.
You may remember...

Jeremy, since you are shy on clamps I wonder if you have considered using brads plus glue, the brads basically replacing the clamps for the most part? A pneumatic brad nailer would make this a snap,...
How about a wooden I-beam? Use 1 by material for the top and bottom and plywood for the web. I'll bet it wouldn't have to be too tall to be pretty rigid. Dado the top and bottom pieces and glue in...
Actually a cover helps more uniformly heat a room. It forces the air flow out and forward rather than letting it go straight up. All you need is to leave enought open space in the front.
If what you call track marks are coming from just part of the blade, then it is blade alignment (that lever thing corrects that).
If the marks are at the outside of both edges of the blade, that...
In case someone local didn't get the word, LN will be at Frank Klausz's workshop in Pluckemin, NJ this Friday and Saturday. Here's the link:

I knew something was wrong. I agree that's no job site saw.
Are we talking the same saw? The web site shows it available with a job-site roll around stand. That is featured prominently in the video. It is also available with a fixed stand. The job-site...
Really? From the video it seems aimed squarely at the professionals who want a job-site saw and want the injury protection. Not sure how big that market is but the portable with safety technology...
