I am late in this game, but agree with the many like Joe M and George C, who find this type of behavior from the manufacturer unacceptable...to say the least. A man's word is his bond, and he hasn't...
Brice and Roger are correct - minimum 7 years for parts.

Hey Dan,
I think Vijay is right, I'd be surprised (but delighted) to see it his year. As to your earlier post regarding choosing between the Rotex 150 and ETS 150/5, I agree with you 100%.

This is a frequently asked question and there really isn't a right or wrong answer. Having used 2 55's for many years and later getting the 106" rail; I would say that if transport, storage (and/or...
I also went with the 20 Aggazani from Eagle Tools and will echo what others have said about the saw and service. And those new guides look interesting. How much were they?
Bob
Scott,
Check Tenyru and Forrest.
Bob
Nope, neither one. John Lucas was the creator of Woodshopdemos as well as a frequent forum poster. Here's his web-site. http://www.woodshopdemos.com/

OMG, this is terrible news. John was a wonderful, kind and generous man. What a loss to the ww community. He will be missed by many.
My condolances to his family.

Abram,
I will second what Brice said and check out his helpful link regarding conecting the 2 rails.

Although I have not done the math (e.g. account for the larger diameter blade of the 75), I believe the 55 with more teeth and higher rpm will do better on plywood.

Matt,
I think you are correct about the winter projects. They are smaller, out of the area and hence, use other contractors.
Bob
Aaron,
I would recommend the TS 55 over the TS 75 for what you are doing. It's lighter, smaller, and has a finer tooth standard blade (48 t) designed for hardwood/veneers, etc.
This has been a...
Tim,
It's actually the older brother to the TS 55. IIRC, 2003-2004 was the last year the ATF was manufactured.
Bob
Dave,
I am guessing that you can get the batteries rebuilt, but Festool still carries replacement batteries for the TDD drills.
Bob
Jerry,
You have been given good advice here. Between the 2 you mentioned, for an "all around" sander, as mentioned, my choice would be the 150/5. That extra 2 mm orbit makes sanding in grits...
As mentioned - beautiful joinery.
Bob
Real nice Al. I always wanted to try hand cutting dt's; pics like yours pushes me closer to attempting doing just that!
Bob
Nick,
I still think Rob L's explanation is inarguable, but you have expanded (correctly, I think anyhow) on his post. I do think though we have a choice, even though it seems to be a losing...
Nah, there a great dealer in Canada - Dan Claremont.

Yes,and I know some German tools that may interest you.;):D;)

Rob,
Thanks for replying and posting what IMHO is the best/truest explanation of the whys and hows of the increasing production and sales of Chinese manufactured goods. I think what you have...
It's a convenient belief (with a stong base in reality) - but the real reason there's so many Chinese products on the market, and so many firms relocating their production to China is because WE...
Just opened up mine too. That's a nice tip - with the O ring.

I had one - white bronze, just felt it was way too small for my hands; and I love the feel of a bock plane. After buying it, I never felt I had an application that warranted keeping it; ending up...
