Ditto on lifting the board slightly as mentioned. It's the only way I seem to be able to reduce snipe on my 12 1/2" delta.
Why can't I get the pics to come in? All I get is the red X in a box. I'd really love to see this bench!

(quote) Each time I tune into this thread, I feel like I'm watching a slow motion train wreck. I sure hope it turns out satisfactorily for Gary, but everyone involved is being hurt by...
I am using biscuits to glue a vertical piece(3/4 oak ply) to a horizontal piece(3/4 oak ply) and I got the slots off and had to make them bigger to make things line up correctly. This made my slots...
Thanks for the heads up Paul. I just ordered one.
Mike do you have a pic?
I put a new 12" Forrest Chopmaster 80 tooth. on my Makita 1212 slider last year and I can never get clean cuts. There is always tear out on the backside regardless of whether it's solid or plywood.Is...
Jim, Thanks for the tutorial. Just found it today. You do a good job. I'm building a dresser for my grandaughter and the plans(yes I bought plans) call for attaching the legs to the panels with...
You guys made my day. Having never used a moisture meter and not knowing that much about them I was hoping I hadn't wasted $240 on the wrong one, but after reading your posts, I feel ok about the one...
Thanks for the responses! I called Lignomat and ordered the Ligno-Scanner SD Pinless on sale untill tomorrow. Free shipping and very knowledgeable lady on the phone. She said it will go out tomorrow....
Ben am at their website right now. Which meter do you have?
I have decided a moisture meter would be helpfull and wondered where to get a "reasonably" priced one, if there is such a thing? Don't want to spend a fortune but I do want one that is fairly...
I wanted to be sure as I've read that a panel this wide could expand over 1/4 " so i didn't want to have a problem later. Thanks!
I'm building a bed with a 20 1/2" panel width opening. I'm planning on using space balls and according to specs suppose to allow 5/32 per side of gap for expansion. I live in the north and the...
I never thought about waxing them. Preventative maintenance. What a great idea!
I've been using Rocklers aluminum bar clamps lately and really like em(there light) but the glue is a pain to get off the bar. Is there some magic solution that wipes on and off goes the glue?
Joe, with a name like "Joe Walsh" I thought someone would ask if you sing and play guitar. Guess there's not many old time rockers here or maybe your post just hasn't been up long enough for many to...
I have a Shop Fox bench mortiser that I bought a couple of years ago from Grizzly and if I buy other import brand chisels some of the bits are too short(7 inches) on the 3/8 and 1/2 bits to reach the...
Thanks Scott, I'm on there website right now.
I read here a few months back a thread recommending Lennox bi-metal 1/2"-4tpi for resawing on 14" bandsaw. Where is the best online place to get one? Thanks, Mark
Andy, 2 years ago, my oldest son and I built a crib for my grandaughter and I used the project to justify buying a Shop Fox bench mortiser. It worked like a charm plus I now have a mortiser. But then...
I have to agree with Lou on this one. It's a real shame when we automatically think a lawsuit is the answer to an accident. Even if it is from a careless employee. I guess that's 21st century...
John, I bought one last year to go on my Jessem Mast-R-Fence. Think I paid around $240. $100 is a steal. I love mine. It's a stout piece of equip. and there's no play at all. It mounts to the back of...
