Most Craftsman tools leave a lot to be desired, such as sub standard parts and odd sizes but for $200.00 that would be my tops for that brand.
Looks like you will a phase 3 power, a lot of help to move, a big place to put it and if it needs parts could cost a lot of money.
Most of them I have seen are junk.
I had one too when they first came out. Sold mine as it was too unstable for my liking.
I bought a Zircon and I get different (error) readings at least 60-70 percent of the time. I have much better luck and more confidence in an old Craftsman one I have. Weird as it is about 15 years...
If the price is right and you don't have to get it in the basement, I would go low and see what happens. You have nothing to lose. Bring cash, a trailer and some help plus a camera.

I agree with Dave, as I had the same issue until I replaced the GFI outlet. Now is all fine.
Back when I had a land line and the they would call and ask for my wife I would tell them she was in jail. Some even asked me for what. I usually tell them for murder, or fraud. Even the folks from...
I have had both and I would get the Ridgid for the money.
Look's like to me petrified wood Burl.
I live in South Eastern Michigan and I ache all year. Makes no diff on the season. The only thing I like about cold winters is that it keeps my pop cold in the garage. That's all.
Here in Michigan I recently moved within the same town and the basement shop humidity doubled from my previous home. Here is want I would do:
First off I got a Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer with...
