Hi,
I need to make some meters of a profile of oak as shown in the attached picture (dimensions mm, sorry:)). I have a planer, jointer, table saw and a router table. No band saw. What is the best...
Hi guys,
we have a round window and I plan to fit a wooden ring with thermo glass to its back to add thermal insulation. See attached picture of window. The internal diameter of the ring should be...
Thanks Joe,
We don't get the same brands in Sweden. From a search on the Internet, I believe that the Waterlox is a Tung Oil, and the Target USL is a water-based, semi-matt acrylic lacquer? Is...
Hi guys,
I just completed the TV table shown in the attached picture. It's made of Scandinavian birch (I actually milled it myself with an Alaskan saw). There is a shelf for the DVD player and...
same here, but the battery wears out pretty fast. Any smart source for button batteries?
Yes, they are about 2" wide, so flipping on the router is probably needed. Thanks for all of the good input!
Hi Guys, I wish to make a copy of the bench shown in the attached photos. What's the best way to make the curved parts?

Hi guys,
does anybody know where to find drawings for building a slide-in camper for a pickup truck?
Thanks
Tom
Gene is right to the point. I did exactly that too: rolling on four 2x6's that you keep moving in pairs. I used 2" round wooden rollers. That's also how they move heavy motor stuff into crooked ship...
Hi guys,
I am making some shelves for my daughter, who is very demanding :D. The shelves are made of 3/4" plywood and she is not happy with the raw edges, so I proposed to glue some thin...

I may ultimately end up making it of glued-up beech.
Hi Jim,
I am also planning to make a TV stand myself. My thoughts are quite different, so I attach some pictures here and in the next post showing the style I am looking at. Take a look and let...
I agree with the others: Quarter saw the logs!
Drilling cast iron is more easy than steel, the chips come off like dust.
Thanks for you comments. You are right, it would have been nice to use bag filters that can be cleaned. I couldn't find any that would fit into my small box and also clean the air to below 1 micron....
My comment was mostly related to the characteristics of axial-flow fans vs radial-flow squirrel-cage fans. I believe that the squirrel-cage fans have a "stiffer" characteristic, so that they maintain...
Todd:
The bag filter is of type 24X20X14 inch Vee Bags with loops, part Number 242014VBL, about 50$ ea, available only in two-packs.

My filters are upstream, i.e. on the suction side. I...
I guess that I did not make myself clear. I find your chairs very beautiful. I also find that some of the US furniture has an excellent design. Your post made me think over furniture design aspects....
I won't be at my workshop for some days (:()but I believe that it pulls 1.6 Amp and with 230 V, cos phi, and some efficiency factor, it should then be around 1/3 HP.
I am Danish and in Scandinavia we seem to have another taste when it comes furniture design. Here's the link to Carl Hansen: http://www.carlhansen.dk/dk/default.html.
No matter whether we like...
IMHO, your best shot is to install a couple of electric radiation heaters of the type that glow in the dark under the ceiling. They will not heat the air but radiate to the steel and tools beneath....
