Fess up, how'd you do on 2008 resolutions?

2008 has come and gone. How'd you do on all of your 2008 resolutions now that you've had a year to work on them?

    Me first...

    Accomplishments:

Retire my mortgage early (well.... this one's a long standing one that finally came true in 2008)

Replace the back steps and patio.

Actually cleaned the shop good and proper, but it's back to normal again.

Got back to my weight in H.S.

    Failures:

Allowed the shop to get messy.

    Cussed a bit too much.

Bought more Chinese made junk than I had hoped to. (this is a tough resolution to keep)

I met ALL of my 2008 resolutions. It was easy. There weren't any.

Resolutions? I'm supposed to make a resolution???
    I resolve to:

    1. Buy more woodworking tools
    2. Spend more time in the shop
    3. Make all 2009 Christmas presents out of wood.
    4. Take a woodworking course/seminar
    5. Go to the local Woodcraft or woodstore at least once a week
    6. Make woodworking projects every Monday and Wednesday night with my 2 adult sons.

OOOPs, the LOML says I'm already doing this!!

It’s only work if somebody makes you do it.
A day can really slip by when you're deliberately avoiding what you're supposed to do.

My 2008 resolutions are all well and unmolested. As I am old and do not do multi-tasking well, I sat down to identify the most important ones and to set a regimen to follow. The next thing I remember, I woke up this morning and it was 2009. I will sit down some time this week to identify the most important ones and..............................keith

In a pressing need to successfully manage expectations, I choose not to create Resolutions.

All and all, I hope that each coming year will be better than the last. Better financially, better family, better friends ... so far all of the above we again met.

Wife and I opened a retail store ( for her ) and so far its going quite well. If there are any 2009 resolutions, it would entail a business related goal !

I always have the same resolution:

Don't do anything that would qualify you as a guest on Jerry Springer.

    Another year down.

Didn't enter 2008 with any resolutions, but around the middle of January I decided to start going to the gym regularly. I'd give myself a +90%, but I chose 50%-85%.

Except for a few weeks when my elbow was completely toast from digging and hauling forty yards of clay soil, I have remained true to the commitment.

My 2009 resolution is the same as my 2008 resolution. I was 100% successful last year.

My resolution is to not get eaten by a bear.
