Seeking suggestions:router bit storage in router table

    Hi Folks,

I posted this earlier in the general woodworking and power tools forum. No replies there so I thought I'd try here.

Someone recently posted photos of their shop built router table with a drawer for the bits that I really liked. When you opened the drawer the bits were stored on 3 or 4 stacked "shelves" on the right side and was open on the left side. For the life of me I can't find that thread now.

If anyone can direct me to that thread, or any other threads for storing router bits in tall, narrow space built into a router table I would appreciate it. The clear space in my table for this router bit storage area is appx. 5 inches wide and 26 inches high and 24 inches deep.

I liked the way the OP had their bits stored. Looked like a great way to use that narrow space. It would be helpful for me to see the photo again. I'm thinking for my table I might do one single panel/drawer that slides out and there's all the bits neatly stacked in rows. Seems like the storage was slightly angled.

    Thanks for your help.

The specific pic that I saw in a previous thread was actually a drawer in the table with bits stacked the same way as in the cabinet in the link above. The cabinet pic is a big help! I think I can work it out from there.

    Thanks again.
