    First Bird House

I thought I would get a start on Christmas 2009. After all the one's posted from last year, especially Bernie's, I wanted to give it a try. Base is a piece of cherry that came from a tree harvested in the Cuvre River bottom when I lived in Missouri in the early 1980's. The top is a maple scrap. Comments are welcome.

Looks pretty good Steve! They are a lot of fun to turn - but be careful!!! I saw Bernie's birdhouses last year and thought I would turn a couple. Spent 2 days and turned around 70 of the little guys! Gave a bunch away and still have a box around here some place!

    Have fun with them!

That "old" cherry sure has some nice color to it. You did very well by it too...Bill...
