    Very pretty platter Stan! Love curly maple and the multiple colors of the shells really bring the whole thing to life! Very nice work!

    Now that is unique. I really like it. Did you turn the shell after it was inlaid, or was everything turned and then inlay the shell?

    Nice job on a good looking platter...the inlay adds just the right amount of color to the overall piece. Makes it jump out at ya a bit. Good work.

    Great job!! Never tried any inlay work on a turning yet but you have inspired me!!
    If at first you don't succeed, look in the trash for the instructions.

    Brian - I turned the platter and then inlaid the shell.
