    Thomas/T-Chisel,

Thanks for posting your phenomenal work. I have watched quite a few of your videos and plan on doing your step stool project later this year with my uncle to get him into woodworking.

I will be looking for the library you are talking about posting. Your site is on the list of sites I check every evening for my WW fix. I am a HS wrestling coach and don't get any shop time during the winter months, so blogs and forums are my winter WW.

Thanks for posting what you do, it is much appreciated.

    Josh

    Gorgeous piece.
Watch out the other students don't give you a blanket party for making them look bad.
I could cry for the time I've wasted, but thats a waste of time and tears.

Beautiful piece, you did a great job. Love the carved details and clean finish. How did you manage the gooseneck type crown at the top? Shaper?

Maurice, didn't see Tom answer your question, and don't know where he got the mahogany from, but you can get such boards from Irion Lumber. Expect to pay a premium, and expect to get exceptionally dense boards - you will require a helper to move the boards on the scale that Tom referred to.

I've some Irion stuff, and it's roughly twice as dense as "ordinary" Honduran Mahogany.

Yeah. Makes me want to go burn down my shop and take up needlepoint.
