Steel City Edge Sander 55230 and speed of belt

Hi guys!

I have few more questions in regards to edge sander.

-Anyone own Steel City Edge sander? It seems like I can't find a review anywhere on this forum or web. Opinions?

-This Steel City edge sander Belt speed is 3900 SFPM and Grizzly G1140 has belt speed of 1800 FPM. Can someone explain to me the advantage and disadvantage of 1800 vs 3900 FPM belt speed?

-So if I'm sanding a very small parts...like guitar parts, would 3900 FPM be too much?

-JET also has oscilating and non-oscilating edge sander on Amazon.com but the price of oscilating one is cheaper. Anyone know as to why this may be?

I'd be afraid of burning with the high speed of the Steel City sander. 1800 is much safer with hardwoods, especially maples.
