Here are the Forum statistics for June 2004.

Unlike many forums, SMC doesn't automatically log you out when the browser is closed. I many times leave and forget to logout. Since I'm still logged in when I return, the "visit" counter probably doesn't increment. With the number of people usually signed in, this probably isn't a problem, but it could skew the stats.

Actually, Bob, the stats are independent of whether you're logged in or not.
The analyses are based on the web server's log files (which are, for these purposes, independent of the forum).

The visit counter is incremented when your particular IP address is inactive in the log files for a period of 30 minutes. In other words, if you end all transfer from the site and come back 31 minutes from now, you get two visits.
